The MAHLE GS33799 is a pack of six valve cover grommets for the 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins common-rail engine in Dodge Ram trucks. Heat and the elements leave the factory grommets weathered, brittle or broken over time, and one pack replaces every grommet on the engine.

Listed for the 5.9L Cummins common-rail engine, 2003 through 2007, in Dodge Ram trucks. The 2007 fitment is for 5.9L trucks only; the 6.7L that replaced it for 2007.5 is a different engine. Why this part
Valve cover grommets sit on top of the engine and take every heat cycle the 5.9L goes through. Over time, heat and the elements deteriorate them until the rubber turns brittle and the grommet cracks or breaks. A grommet in that shape is no longer doing much as an isolator for the valve cover.
If your valve cover is coming off for any reason and the old grommets look weathered or broken, this is the time to replace them. GS33799 is an OE-style, direct-fit part in molded rubber and steel, made to go into the factory locations the way the originals did.
