The MAHLE CS54886A Lower Engine Gasket Set includes the components needed to reseal the lower engine on a 2015-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. If the bottom end of your Super Duty is weeping oil, this set puts MAHLE gaskets and seals that meet or exceed OE specifications under one part number.

Fitment

Fits 2015-2019 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Fitment follows the 2015-2019 range in the title; verify fitment by VIN. Ford's 2017-2019 engine is mechanically the 2015-2016 engine with a revised turbo oil line and pedestal and more torque, and this one set is listed across that whole span.

It is not listed for 2011-2014 trucks or for 2020 and later. For 2020 Ford revised the pistons, rods, crank, block and heads, and long blocks are not interchangeable across that split, so do not assume earlier lower-end parts carry over. F-450 pickup and chassis cab owners should call us with a VIN before ordering. Shop more 6.7L parts on our Powerstroke page.

Why this part

The 6.7L in these years is not known for long-block hard-part failures. On the 2017-2019 engine the recurring engine-side problems are fuel dilution from DPF regeneration, the CCV separator loading up, and cracked exhaust manifolds on 2015-2019 pickups. If the engine is otherwise healthy and the bottom end is leaking, a complete lower set lets you reseal it in one job with gaskets and seals manufactured to the most stringent specifications.

Before you reseal, check the CCV oil separator on the driver-side valve cover. When it loads up with oil mist and restricts, crankcase pressure rises, and external oil seeps at seals are one of the symptoms. Diesel Hub recommends replacing the separator every 30,000-40,000 miles. Sorting out crankcase pressure first gives the new gaskets the best chance of staying dry.

About MAHLE

MAHLE began in 1920 as a small engine shop in Stuttgart, Germany, and made its name building pistons. The company now supplies pistons, rings, liners, bearings, valves and gaskets to engine builders and the aftermarket, and diesel shops have leaned on its sealing parts for years. We carry MAHLE head sets, complete engine gasket sets and individual gaskets for Powerstroke, Cummins and Duramax trucks.

Frequently asked questions

Will this set fit my 2020 or newer 6.7L?

It is listed for 2015-2019 only. Ford revised the pistons, rods, crank, block and heads for 2020, so call us with your VIN before you assume anything carries over.

What warranty comes with the set?

MAHLE covers the CS54886A with a 1 Year Limited manufacturer warranty.

My truck started leaking again after a reseal. What should I check?

Start with the CCV oil separator. A restricted separator raises crankcase pressure, and on the 6.7L that shows up as external oil seeps at seals, oil in the intake tract and a 1-2 mpg loss. Replacing it along with the gaskets deals with the pressure behind the leak.
