The MAHLE C33763 Coolant Pipe O-Ring is an OE-style replacement seal for the coolant pipe on the 2014-2019 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel and the 2014-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel. You buy it to replace a worn coolant pipe O-ring and keep the cooling system sealed to factory spec.

MAHLE lists the C33763 for the 2014-2019 Ram 1500 with the 3.0L EcoDiesel and the 2014-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.0L EcoDiesel. On the Ram side that covers the 2014-2018 Ram 1500 and the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic; the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 was not offered with a diesel. On the Ram side this is a 1500 part only; no 2500 or 3500 was built with this engine. If you own a 2020-2023 EcoDiesel, verify fitment by VIN or call us before you order.
Why this part
When a coolant pipe O-ring wears, the joint it seals can start to seep. On the EcoDiesel, slow coolant loss deserves a real diagnosis before you top it off and move on, because this engine has several known leak points. Owners report weeping at the coolant pump and at the coolant bypass tube and seals behind it; the sign is pink or purple residue down the front of the timing cover. The turbo coolant lines at the rear of the engine are another reported slow-leak point, with a coolant smell at the firewall and no puddle.
Two other causes are more serious. A failing engine oil cooler can mix oil and coolant, which shows up as an oily film or black jelly in the reservoir; it is the most common EcoDiesel cooling complaint. A cracked EGR cooler can also cause unexplained coolant loss; on 2014-2019 trucks it is covered by recall 19V-757 (FCA VB1), so check recall completion by VIN. If the loss traces to a coolant pipe joint, replacing the O-ring is the repair.

Yes. MAHLE lists the C33763 for the 2014-2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel as well as the 2014-2019 Ram 1500. Keep in mind the Jeep shares the engine but not the radiator, fans, reservoir or hoses, so buy those parts by exact vehicle, not by engine.
What coolant should I use when I refill the system?
Use OAT (purple) coolant only. FCA warns that HOAT or universal coolant contaminates the system and voids its corrosion protection. Do not shop coolant by "Ram diesel", because the 6.7L Ram trucks of the same era use a different spec.
How do I know the O-ring is my leak?
Look for wet coolant or residue right at the pipe joint. If the reservoir shows oil, or you are losing coolant with no leak you can find, look at the oil cooler and EGR cooler described above first; a new O-ring will not fix those.
