The EvilFab S400 billet turbo is a single performance turbocharger for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. It pairs a billet compressor wheel with Extended Tip Technology, twin hydrodynamic journal bearings and a twin scroll turbine housing. It is a build part, not a stock replacement: pick it when you are planning a bigger single-turbo setup.

Fitment

Listed for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. Our engine tag for this turbo reads 2019-current, but EvilFab lists it through 2024, so we go by the narrower range; verify fitment by VIN. The 2025 truck got a new turbo, and 2019-2024 turbo parts should not be assumed to fit it. Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs run their own calibration and transmission, so check those with us first.

This listing has 10 configurations. Choose yours from the options on this page, and call us if you are not sure which one matches your build.

Why this part

The factory turbo on a 2019-2024 6.7L is a Holset HE300VG variable-geometry unit that doubles as the exhaust brake. Its known trouble spots are vanes that stick from soot and oil coking, which commonly shows up between 50,000 and 150,000 miles; an electronic actuator that can fail on its own and take the exhaust brake with it; and bearing or oil seal wear on high-mileage turbos, with whine, smoke and shaft play. If you want to keep every factory function, including the exhaust brake, and stay on factory tuning, a direct-replacement HE300VG is the right part for that.

The S400 is the other path when you are building power. EvilFab's billet wheel S400 is VSR balanced, has the compressor face and MAP CNC machined for maximum flow, and uses compressor cover recirculation grooves. The compressor and turbine housings are adjustable for orientation, so you can line them up with your piping. Browse more turbos if you are comparing options.

We have no CARB Executive Order on file for a larger turbo on this platform, so we do not sell this S400 as an emissions-legal replacement. Check your state's rules before you install it.

What you get

  • One EvilFab billet wheel S400 turbo in the configuration you select
  • 1 year manufacturer's warranty (see the oil line requirement below)

For the oil side, EvilFab makes S300/S400 oil feed and drain lines for the 2007.5-2024 6.7L Cummins, along with a cast one-piece exhaust manifold for 2007.5-2024 trucks.

Specifications

Billet wheel S400 turbos:

  • Twin hydrodynamic journal bearings
  • VSR balanced
  • Compressor face & MAP, CNC machined for maximum flow
  • Extended Tip Technology Compressor Wheel
  • Twin scroll turbine housing
  • Adjustable compressor and turbine housing orientation
  • Compressor cover recirculation grooves
  • 1 year manufacturer's warranty
  • ** Must run -6 feed line and .750" ID drain to be covered under warranty

Installation notes

Plumb the turbo with a -6 oil feed line and an oil drain with a .750" inside diameter. EvilFab requires both to keep the 1 year warranty in force, so do not reuse smaller lines. Set the compressor and turbine housing orientation to suit your piping before final assembly. Plan the manifold, oil lines and the rest of the build with us before the truck comes apart.

About EvilFab

EvilFab focuses on one engine family, the Cummins inline-6, and builds turbo kits and the parts that finish them. Its S400 billet turbos for 2019-2024 6.7L trucks sit alongside single S400 kits, compound kits, manifolds and oil lines. A turbo is a big buy, so confirm fitment and your build plan with us before you order.

Frequently asked questions

What does the warranty cover?

EvilFab backs this turbo with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. To be covered, the turbo must run a -6 feed line and a .750" ID drain.

Will I keep my factory exhaust brake?

On 2019-2024 trucks the exhaust brake is part of the factory variable-geometry turbo. If keeping it, along with every other factory function and factory tuning, matters to you, a direct-replacement HE300VG is the part for that. Call us and we will walk through what changes with an S400 build.

Does it fit a 2025 Ram?

It is not listed for 2025. The 2025 truck uses a new turbo, and 2019-2024 replacement turbos, actuators and gaskets should not be assumed to fit it.
