Fitment

Fits 2010-2018 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. Our engine tags for this mount also take in 2007.5-2009 trucks, but the part is listed for 2010-2018, so we go by the narrower range. If you have a 2007.5-2009 truck, verify fitment by VIN before you order.

Edge cuts each of its pillar mounts for a specific truck. The 38602 is the 2010-2018 Ram mount; 2019-2025 Rams take the Edge 38603 instead. Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs share the engine but are built on different frames, so check chassis-cab fitment with us separately. Send us your VIN or call the shop and we will confirm it.

Why this part

A monitor only helps if you can see it. Edge built this mount to give its monitors a more permanent, vehicle-specific home than the standard suction-cup mount. The cast aluminum body is molded for the 2010-2018 Ram pillar, holds the screen in a good viewing position without blocking your view of the road, and gives it a sturdy mounting point. It is engineered for an OEM look and fit, and the matte black finish blends into most interiors.

On the 2010-2018 6.7L, the readings worth keeping in view are the turbo readings. Variable-geometry turbo actuator failure is one of the most common turbo problems on this engine. The usual signs are boost suddenly dropping to zero, an exhaust brake that quits or stays engaged, and limp mode. Sticking VGT vanes show up as lag and low boost. An exhaust brake that stays engaged on acceleration can overload the turbo and cylinders and contribute to a blown head gasket. A boost reading at eye level makes a sudden change easy to spot.

Installation notes

No drilling. The mount goes in at the existing A-pillar grab handle location, so nothing on the truck gets cut. Use the included hardware to fit the mount, then attach the monitor with the dual t-slot mount. The finish is matte black; if you want it to match a different interior color, paint it before it goes in.

Frequently asked questions

Will this mount hold my Edge Insight CTS3?

Yes. Edge lists the 38602 for all CTS3 devices, including the Insight, Evolution and Juice. It also works with the older CTS2 and CS2 style monitors, and it may work with other aftermarket mounts that use a similar uni-ball construction.

Do I have to drill into my pillar?

No. The mount uses the existing A-pillar grab handle location, and the hardware is in the box.

Will the 38602 fit my 2019 or newer Ram?

No. The 38602 is cut for 2010-2018 trucks. For 2019-2025 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, Edge makes the 38603, which does not fit trucks with a Heads Up Display.
