Part number 28601 is listed for two groups of trucks:

• 2020-2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with the 6.6L L5P Duramax
• 2019-2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax inline-six

Our engine tags for this mount run past those years, but the title is narrower, so we go by the years above; verify fitment by VIN. The 3.0L in the 1500 is a different engine family from the 6.6L in the HD trucks, and the 1500 never had the L5P. Edge simply lists one mount for both in these model years. 2015-2019 HD trucks use the 28600. Send us your VIN or call the shop if you want a second set of eyes on it.

Why this part

Whether you tow heavy with an L5P or rack up highway miles in a 3.0L 1500, a monitor hanging from a suction cup is one more thing moving around the cab. The 28601 is cast aluminum, molded to fit these trucks, and holds the monitor in a spot you can read at a glance without it getting in the way of the road. Edge built it to look like an OEM part.

It mounts at the factory A-pillar grab handle location, so you do not drill anything. The matte black coating suits the interior as it comes; paint it if you want something custom.

On a 2020-2023 L5P, charge-air leaks are a common reason a truck loses power under load. They show up as underboost and high EGT and often feel better on a cool morning, and turbo-control complaints often trace to a boost leak or intake restriction before the turbo itself. A boost reading on a mounted monitor makes that drift easier to spot early.

Yes, per Edge. The 28601 is listed for 2019-2022 Silverado and Sierra 1500 with the 3.0L Duramax and for 2020-2023 Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with the 6.6L. A 2015-2019 HD truck takes the 28600, so confirm your year by VIN.

Will my older CTS2 or CS2 monitor fit?

Yes. The mount is made for every CTS3 device (Insight, Evolution and Juice), and Edge says it also works with older CTS2 and CS2 style monitors. It may also work with other aftermarket mounts built on a similar uni-ball design.

Can I paint it to match my interior?

Yes. It comes coated in matte black, and Edge made the finish paintable for complete end user customization.
