Fitment

Fits 2017-2026 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups with the 6.7L Powerstroke. This is the primary radiator. Your 6.7L runs two separate cooling loops with two radiators, two degas bottles and two thermostats, so make sure you are ordering for the right loop. The secondary radiator is a separate part; we carry the CSF 3850 secondary radiator for Standard Output trucks. Why this part

Coolant leaks from the radiator, hoses, water pump and fittings are the cooling-system failure you see on every generation of the 6.7L, and they get worse with mileage and towing hours. A leaking primary radiator is not something to nurse along, especially if you tow. The CSF 3849 replaces it with an aluminum core, OE style plastic tanks and quick-connect inlet and outlet pipes, the same style as the factory radiator.

CSF tests this radiator through repeated thermal cycles, high velocity wind tunnel runs, pressure testing, vibration and corrosion testing to make sure it stands up to real-world use. When CSF finds a flaw in either its own replacement or the OEM design, it puts a stronger solution in place. On 2017-2019 trucks, check the two plastic degas tanks before you blame the radiator for coolant loss. They get brittle with heat cycles and crack or weep at the seams, and a leaking tank usually shows crusty residue.

Installation notes

CSF built the 3849 as a true direct-fit replacement that does not require any modifications for installation, and the quick-connect inlet and outlet pipes match the factory style. No radiator cap is supplied. When you refill, use the coolant your under-hood decal or VIN calls for and do not mix coolant types. Remember this truck has two separate loops with their own degas bottles, so a full coolant service is two jobs, not one.

Is this the primary or the secondary radiator?

The CSF 3849 is the primary radiator. The 6.7L uses two radiators on two separate cooling loops, and the secondary radiator is a separate part. Order by loop, and call us with your VIN if you are not sure which one is leaking.

Will it bolt in without modifications?

Yes. CSF designed the 3849 as a true direct-fit replacement that meets or exceeds factory specifications and does not require any modifications. It uses OE style quick-connect inlet and outlet pipes. It is backed by a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

My truck only runs hot when towing. Is it the radiator?

Not always. Temperature climb only on grades or under tow usually traces to a plugged cooling stack, restricted airflow or a worn fan clutch. A stuck fan clutch sets no code, so it gets checked by comparing actual and desired fan speed on a scan tool. Rule those out first, then replace the radiator if it is leaking or damaged.
