General Description
SDS offers the BD Diesel 1050496 Venom CP4 To CP3 Conversion Kit (With Pump) to increase reliability in your 2011-2016 GM 6.6L Duramax LML. Go back to an easier time, when the injection pump worked, and you could rely on your Duramax fuel system. Since the introduction of the common rail fuel system in 2001 to GM trucks, all Duramax Engines were equipped with a dependable Bosch CP3 high-pressure fuel pump. Then in 2011, GM made major changes and switched to a Bosch CP4 pump which has seen its share of troubles.
The CP4 is susceptible to catastrophic failure and when disaster strikes, the entire fuel system requires replacement after metal debris from the failed pump spreads throughout. Cleaning the tank, replacing lines and injectors, and a new injection pump can end up costing you over $10,000 in repairs!
