The BD Diesel 1047020 is a replacement intake clamp kit for the 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Power Stroke. It gives you eight constant tension clamps in the two sizes BD built the kit around, so when the intake comes apart you can put it back together on fresh clamps instead of reusing the old ones.

BD Diesel describes this as a replacement intake clamp kit for 99-03 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke trucks. Our catalog also tags the kit for the 2003-2007 6.0L Power Stroke, but BD's description names only the 7.3L, so we list the narrower fit here: 1999-2003 7.3L. Verify fitment by VIN before you order. That matters most on a 2003 truck, since our engine tags put both the 7.3L and the 6.0L in that model year. If you are not sure which engine is under your hood, call us with the VIN and we will check it.
Why this part
Every joint in the intake depends on a clamp holding a boot or tube tight. A constant tension clamp is built to keep its grip on the hose as the joint heats up and cools down. The newest truck this kit is listed for is a 2003, so the clamps on most of these intakes have been through more than twenty years of heat cycles.
