SDS offers the BD Diesel Duramax Exhaust Brake that is a great way to slow down when hauling or towing heavy loads in your 2001-2010 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM. This exhaust brake offers up to 150 retarding horsepower by incorporating BD's patented Variable Orifice Technology, BD's solid, spring-loaded cylinder, offset butterfly, and pressure regulation. This retarding power is available throughout the engine's RPM range, not only at high RPMs, as other designs that claim to use holes or additional parts do. This exhaust brake, which has BD's patented alumibronze bushing, piston ring-seals, and stainless-steel butterfly shaft, has proven to withstand the exhaust environment's tough, high heat temperatures. To prevent corrosion, BD's butterfly valve and rotating shaft are comprised of stainless steel.
