2019-2024 Ram 6.7L Cummins Front Sway Bars

Front sway bar parts for the 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 with the 6.7L Cummins, including the BDS Suspension front sway bar link disconnect kit. If your truck is lifted or headed that way, plan for the sway bar too: lifts in the 4 to 6-inch range call for new sway bar links and stabilizer changes.

Front sway bar on the 2019-2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins

The front axle on these trucks is a solid axle on progressive-rate coil springs, located by two radius arms and a track bar, with a stabilizer bar working against body roll. Ram set the front springs slightly outboard on the 2019 frame for more roll stiffness. Among the 2019-2024 heavy-duty Rams, only the Power Wagon got a front sway bar that disconnects from the factory, and the Power Wagon was gas-only. Cummins owners who want that feature add it.

What we carry

The BDS Suspension front sway bar link disconnect kit gives a Cummins truck a front bar that can be unhooked at the links. Follow the BDS instructions for when to run the bar connected.

Fitment notes

The BDS listing gives split year ranges (2014/13 to 2025/23), so confirm the range for your model, 2500 or 3500. If your truck is lifted, check link length against your lift height; at 4 to 6 inches, sway bar links and stabilizer changes are on the required list. Torque the bushing bolts with the truck at ride height. When in doubt, verify by VIN.

Frequently asked questions

Why add a sway bar disconnect to a Cummins Ram?

Ram only put a disconnecting front sway bar on the Power Wagon, and that truck never came with the Cummins. The BDS kit gives diesel trucks a way to unhook the front bar at the links. Read the BDS instructions on when to run it connected.

Do I need new sway bar links after a lift?

At 4 to 6 inches of lift, yes. Sway bar links and stabilizer changes are on the list, along with replacement radius arms, a track bar and extended brake lines. Check whether your lift kit already includes links before you buy them separately.
