Upgraded tail lights on the 2019-2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins

Ram fitted incandescent tail lamps to Tradesman and base Big Horn trucks and LED tail lamps to Laramie and above. An upgrade on a base truck means changing the lamp assembly, and the wiring has to suit whatever the new lamp expects. Lamps of the same configuration interchange from 2019 through 2024, but the refreshed 2025 tail lamps do not fit this generation.

As the name says, it is built around the stock halogen tail light wiring, not the factory LED tails. Read the product page to confirm which tail lamps it pairs with. Complete tail lamp assemblies are not in this collection at the moment.

Fitment notes

For 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. DRW trucks have fender-mounted clearance lamps that SRW trucks lack, and those are separate from the tail lamps. Verify by VIN before you order.

Does this converter work on a Laramie with LED tails?

It is named for stock halogen tail light wiring, and Laramie and up came with LED tail lamps from the factory. Check the product page before ordering for an LED-equipped truck, or call us with the VIN.

Will it fix trailer lights that drop out while towing?

No. Owners of 2019 trucks report trailer lights cutting out with a 'trailer not connected' message. That pattern is anecdotal and tied to the trailer connector or body control module, not the truck's tail lamps. Have the trailer circuit checked first.

Can I use 2025 tail lights on my 2021?

No. The 2025 refresh brought new tail lamps that do not fit 2019-2024 trucks. Within 2019-2024, a lamp of the same configuration will interchange.
