From the factory, exhaust on these trucks runs from the turbo through the DOC, DPF and SCR and leaves through a single tailpipe. Everything in this collection lives at the ends of that path or helps hold it together. Tips finish off the tailpipe, whether it's the stock pipe or a 5-inch DPF-back system. Heat wrap and a V-band clamp handle the in-between work. Ram fitted new exhaust attachments for 2019 as part of the noise and vibration package on the redesigned truck, so the mounting points on this generation are new for 2019. Tip design matters more than it looks on a truck that tows. Banks shaped the ob-round tip on its Monster system to throw exhaust sideways with a 1-inch air gap, specifically to protect bumpers and trailers.
Picking the right tip
Start with the inlet. The MBRP tips here are listed with a 4-inch inlet and outlets from 4 inches up to 8 inches, and PPE offers 3-inch and 4-inch stainless tips. Next, pick a style. Rolled-edge tips have a finished, curled lip, while straight-cut and angle-cut tips change how the end looks from behind the truck. Single-wall tips are the simple version, and dual-wall tips add a second layer at the outlet for a heavier look. Turndown tips point the exhaust at the ground instead of straight back. The MBRP T5165BLK black hex tip is the pick if you don't want polished metal. Last, think about what rides behind your truck. A big angle-cut outlet looks good with nothing hooked up, but if you pull a bumper-pull trailer, check clearance to the bumper and the trailer tongue before you commit.
What we carry
MBRP tips make up the bulk of this collection, including the T5049 straight cut, T5050 rolled straight cut, T5052 single-wall angle cut, T5073 rolled angle cut, T5081 and T5086 single-wall turndowns and the T5165BLK black hex, plus rolled angle-cut tips with 5-inch, 6-inch, 7-inch and 8-inch outlets and dual-wall angled tips. PPE has 3-inch and 4-inch stainless tips. Mishimoto brings the MMEXH-TIP-DSL56 6-inch polished angled-cut, rolled-edge tip and the MMTW-235 exhaust heat wrap set. BD Diesel supplies the 1405926 exhaust V-band clamp and a remote-mount exhaust brake. You'll also find MAHLE engine sealing parts, the HS55525 head gasket set for 2019-2024 engines and the HS54774-3 head set for 2007.5-2024 engines, and a Shibby Engineering harness plug kit for 2019-2024 trucks. More options from every brand are on our main exhaust page.
Fitment notes
Tips clamp on by inlet size, so they aren't tied to cab or bed length the way a full DPF-back system is. Measure the pipe you're fitting to before you order. If you're adding a tip to a new 5-inch DPF-back system, match it to that system's outlet, not the old stock pipe. Dually 3500s run DRW-specific exhaust kits, so if you're on a dually, match the tip to the kit that's on the truck. The MAHLE HS55525 head gasket set is listed for 2019-2024 engines only. Chassis cabs differ from pickups on DEF and EGR parts, so verify by VIN whenever anything engine-side is involved.
Frequently asked questions
What size exhaust tip fits my 2019-2024 Ram 2500 or 3500?
Go by the pipe, not the truck. Most MBRP tips here are listed with a 4-inch inlet and outlets from 4 to 8 inches, and PPE offers 3-inch and 4-inch tips. Measure the outside diameter of your tailpipe, or match the outlet of the DPF-back system you're running, then pick the outlet size that clears your bumper.
Can a big tip cause problems when I'm towing?
It can if it sits too close to the bumper or trailer. Banks designed the ob-round tip on its Monster system with a 1-inch air gap to throw exhaust sideways and protect bumpers and trailers. With any oversized or angle-cut tip, check how it lines up with your hitch setup before you tighten the clamp.
Do I need the BD remote-mount exhaust brake on a 2019-2024 Cummins?
These trucks already have an exhaust brake built into the variable-geometry turbo, with a smart mode that holds a downhill speed you set. Using it regularly also exercises the turbo vanes. Call us before ordering the BD remote-mount unit so we can talk through whether it fits your setup.
Should I pick a single-wall or dual-wall tip?
Both clamp on the same way. A single-wall tip is the simpler style, and a dual-wall tip adds a second layer at the outlet for a thicker look. Pick by appearance and by the outlet diameter that fits your bumper opening.
