Your EcoDiesel's 8-speed is a ZF unit. The 2018 Ram 1500 and 2019 Ram 1500 Classic use the 8HP70, and 2020-2023 trucks use the 8HP75, as listed on 2020-2021 spec sheets. The two transmissions are different inside, but pans and filters may cross between them while internal hard parts and torque converters do not. That is why PPE can list one pan and one filter across the whole 2014-2023 EcoDiesel run.

PPE 228058600 Replacement Transmission Pan Filter, listed for 2014-2023 3.0L EcoDiesel trucks with the PPE pan. It is the part you reorder each time the PPE pan comes down for a fluid service. If you are installing the PPE pan for the first time, check its product page to see what comes in the box, so you do not order a filter you already have.
Fitment notes
Confirm the truck has a PPE pan before ordering. If you bought the truck used and the history is unclear, look under it or call us with the VIN. Confirm the transmission by its tag if there is any doubt. Remember that a 2019 EcoDiesel is a Ram 1500 Classic on the DS body; the new 2019 DT was not offered with a diesel.

Will this filter fit my factory transmission pan?
PPE lists the 228058600 for EcoDiesel trucks running the PPE pan. If your truck has the factory pan, use the fitment checker on the product page or call us with your VIN before you buy.
Does the same filter fit 2018-2019 and 2020-2023 trucks?
PPE lists it for 2014-2023 3.0L EcoDiesel trucks with its pan, which covers both the 8HP70 and the 8HP75 in this range. Pans and filters may cross between the two transmissions even though internal parts do not.
