Call or Text (352) 722-5295Traction bars on the 2018-2023 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel
A traction bar ties the rear axle to the frame with a solid bar and a pivot at each end. Its job is to keep the axle from twisting and hopping when torque hits it hard, like a loaded launch or a heavy pull. On the 2020-2023 Ram 1500, the DT body, Ram used a five-link coil-spring rear with optional four-corner air suspension. The 2021 spec sheet lists a short/long-arm independent front and a multi-link coil rear. The 2018 Ram 1500 and the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic ride on the older DS body, and the DS and DT suspensions are different designs. Nothing crosses the 2019/2020 line.
Why add them
We don't have a documented EcoDiesel-specific spring or shock failure pattern to point you to on these trucks. So traction bars here are a choice about how you use the truck, not a fix for a known problem. If you want more control over axle movement under load, these are the parts. If your truck already pulls and launches the way you want, you can skip them.
Add-on bars vs. a stock setup
Nothing on this page replaces a factory part. The WCFab bars are add-on hardware: you pick a length, mount the brackets and tie the axle to the frame. Once the bars are on, the wear items are the pivots. The WCF207-26 bushing and heim kit lets you refresh worn pivots without replacing the bar tubes. Buy the bars if you're setting the truck up for how you use it. Buy the bushing kit if you already run WCFab bars and the joints are worn.

Fitment notes
These are universal parts, not a bolt-on kit built for the Ram 1500. Measure from where the bar will mount on the axle to where it will mount on the frame before you choose 60 or 68 inches. Check the bracket kit against your frame and axle, since it is a general-purpose kit. Tell us if your truck has factory air suspension. Both the DS and DT offered it, and air-ride trucks take different lift and leveling hardware than coil-spring trucks, so we'll want to look at the layout with you. Verify your truck by VIN before you order.
Frequently asked questions
Are these a direct bolt-on for the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel?
No. The bars are universal, and the WCF100842 bracket kit is listed for Ford, Dodge and universal installs. The Ram 1500 rear is a multi-link coil design, so plan bracket locations before you order, or have us lay it out and install it in our Wildwood, FL shop.
Should I get the 60-inch or the 68-inch bars?
Measure your truck. The right length depends on where the axle and frame brackets end up, and the DS (2018 and 2019 Classic) and DT (2020-2023) are different suspension designs. If your measurement lands between sizes, call us before you buy.
What is the WCF207-26 kit for?
It is the service kit for the bars. It replaces the bushings and heim joints at the pivots, so you can refresh a set of WCFab traction bars without buying new tubes. It does nothing on its own; it goes on bars you already have.
