2010-2018 Ram 6.7L Cummins ECM Tuning

Engine computer tuning hardware for the 2010-2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 6.7L Cummins: the EFI Live AutoCal V3 and the Calibrated Power Solutions DSP switch bracket. The ECM is the part every fourth-gen truck can tune, whichever transmission it has, so this is where a custom calibration starts.

ECM tuning on the 2010-2018 Ram 6.7L Cummins

The engine control module sets injection timing, injection duration and fuel delivery, and those are the numbers an ECM calibration changes. Trucks with the 68RFE automatic, the G56 manual and the Aisin AS69RC behind the 3500 High Output can all be tuned at the ECM. The Aisin's own transmission computer is encrypted, so on those trucks the ECM is the only place tuning happens.

Keep the calibration conservative

Extra fuel on this engine means extra soot. High-performance ECM tunes clog the DPF, and you see it as frequent regens and DPF-full messages. A tow or economy calibration that keeps the EGR, DPF and, on 2013 and later trucks, SCR active is the right fit for this platform. In California and other CARB states, ask your tuner for a CARB EO number that covers your model year.

What we carry

The EFI Live AutoCal V3 (blank) ships with no calibration loaded, ready for an EFI Live tuner to license it and load files for your VIN. The Calibrated Power Solutions DSP Switch Bracket is a no-drill mount for the DSP switch, listed for 2006-2022 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins trucks. See all tuners or the Cummins parts hub.

Fitment notes

ECM licenses are tied to the VIN and split between 2010-2012 trucks with the NOx adsorber and 2013-2018 trucks with SCR and DEF. Chassis cabs share the engine but need their own fitment check. Verify by VIN before you order.

Frequently asked questions

Can I tune the ECM on a 3500 with the Aisin transmission?

Yes. The Aisin AS69RC transmission computer is encrypted and cannot be tuned, but the engine side can. Expect engine tuning only on those trucks.

Why does a hot ECM tune cause regen problems?

More fuel makes more soot, and on a DPF-equipped 6.7L that soot ends up in the filter. High-performance tunes clog the DPF, which shows up as frequent regens and DPF-full warnings.
