The fourth-gen Ram HD uses a solid front axle on coil springs, located by links and a track bar, so lifting the truck changes more than ride height. For 2013, Ram fitted a new frame and a wider, stronger front suspension. For 2014, the 2500 got a five-link coil rear with optional rear air, while the 3500 kept leaf springs. That is why BDS builds separate kits for 2009-2013/12 trucks, 2014-2018 2500s and 2013-2018 3500s, and separate versions again for trucks with rear air ride.
Why geometry matters
Raising the front end changes caster and track bar angle, and a rigid track bar is needed with any height change to keep the steering stable. The steering linkage matters too. An aftermarket 3-inch lift for 2013-2018 2500/3500 trucks from another maker was recalled (18E-096) for a weakened drag-link-to-knuckle joint. The lesson for any lift on this platform is to look at how the kit handles steering and axle location, not just how tall it makes the truck. A rigid track bar and a good steering damper are also the first fixes if a lifted truck wanders or wobbles.
What we carry
BDS kits from 2 to 8 inches. You can choose a standard kit, a FOX 2.5 coil-over conversion, a 4-link version, a 3-inch radius-arm kit for 2014-2018 and 2025 Ram 2500s, or long-arm kits for 2009-2013/12 trucks. Owners of 2003-2013/12 trucks can also step up to the FOX 2.5 Coil-Over Conversion Upgrade for 6- and 8-inch Factory Series lifts. Many kits come in a Rear Air Ride version for trucks with factory rear air.
Fitment notes
The kits here are listed for 4WD. Match model first: the 2500 and 3500 use different kits, and the 2014-2018 2500's coil rear needs different parts than a 2010-2013 2500 or any 3500 on leaf springs. A title reading 2009-2013/12 means through 2013 for one model and through 2012 for the other, because the 2500 changed over for 2014 and the 3500 for 2013. Trucks with factory rear air need the air-specific kit. Check cab and bed too, and verify by VIN before you order.

Is there a BDS lift for a 2014-2018 Ram 2500 with rear air suspension?
Yes. BDS lists Rear Air Ride versions of its 3-, 4- and 6-inch kits for 2014-2018 2500 4WD trucks, including 4-link options. Trucks with factory rear air need air-specific lift components, so buy the version that matches.
Will a 2010-2012 lift kit fit my 2013 Ram 3500?
No. The 3500 changed over to the newer front end for 2013, so kits listed 2009-2013/12 stop at 2012 for the 3500. Look for kits listed for the 2013-2018 3500 instead.
Do I need a new track bar with a lift?
Plan on it. Any height change on the 2013-and-newer front end changes caster and track bar angle, and a rigid track bar keeps the steering stable. Factory track bar bushings are already the leading cause of death wobble on these trucks.
