From 2013 the factory headlamps on these trucks split two ways. Upper trims got halogen projectors with LED accents, and lower trims kept reflector halogens. The 2010-2012 trucks carry the earlier fourth-gen front end. An upgraded replacement swaps the whole assembly for an aftermarket design, so work through it in order: confirm your housing type, pick a style, then pick a finish. For the 6.7L Cummins Ram, the styles here run from straightforward projector headlights to switchback projectors, halo designs, dual LED projectors and crystal headlights with an LED plank light bar.

AlphaRex offers its Pro-Series, Luxx-Series and Nova-Series lines. The Pro-Series projector headlights come in black, jet black, alpha-black and chrome. The Luxx-Series and Nova-Series are LED projector headlights: Luxx in black, alpha-black or chrome, Nova in black, gloss black, alpha-black or chrome. Anzo USA leans on plank and switchback designs: plank-style projector headlights, switchback projectors with or without a halo, dual LED projector switchback lamps, and crystal headlights with an LED plank light bar, in black or chrome.

Frequently asked questions
Are the factory headlights on a 2013-2018 Ram HD HID?
No. The 2013-2018 upper-trim headlamps are halogen projectors with LED accents, and the lower trims use reflector halogens. Knowing which one you have tells you which harness and bezel details to look for on the replacement.
What do Pro, Luxx and Nova mean on AlphaRex headlights?
They are AlphaRex series names. In this collection the Pro-Series lamps are projector headlights, while the Luxx-Series and Nova-Series are LED projector headlights. Each series comes in more than one finish, so pick the line first and the color second.
Should I check the 2013 headlamp recall before upgrading?
If your truck is a 2013 built between January 7 and February 28, 2013 with the optional upgraded factory headlamps, yes. Recall 13V-240 covered shutters that did not work properly in high-beam mode, causing poor high-beam output or glare, and the remedy reconfigured the body controller. Check your VIN for an open recall.
