Call or Text (352) 722-5295DPF-back exhaust for the 2010-2018 Ram 6.7L Cummins
From the factory, the 6.7L Cummins exits through a 4-inch single tailpipe. The muffler lives in that tailpipe section, behind the DPF on 2010-2012 pickups and behind the SCR catalyst on 2013-2018 pickups, and that section is exactly what a DPF-back system replaces. On 2013-2018 trucks, the aftermarket section slips over the pipe coming out of the SCR. Upgrades go one of two ways: 4-inch dual exit, or 5-inch constant diameter. The DOC, DPF, SCR and their sensors stay where the factory put them either way.
Why owners change it
Owners swap this section for flow, sound and finish rather than because it wears out. The trouble spots on this platform sit elsewhere: the exhaust manifold up front, DPF loading on 2010-2012 pickups, and DEF system faults reported on 2013-2018 trucks. Whatever system you run, keep good regen habits. Let active regens finish on the highway instead of idling, because incomplete regens wear down the DPF and SCR over time.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
If the factory system is sound and you only need to reseal a joint, Mahle's catalytic converter and flange gaskets are the service parts. If you want flow, pick by diameter and exit. MBRP's 4-inch DPF-back systems improve flow while keeping the truck emissions compliant. The Banks Monster is a 5-inch, constant-diameter, mandrel-bent replacement, and the 2013-2018 version, in 409 stainless, gives 60 percent more flow area than the factory 4-inch pipe. Banks lists that version as CARB E.O. not required. MBRP's 5-inch Armor Lite and Armor Plus systems are the other route to 5 inches.
What we carry
- MBRP filter-back (DPF-back) systems: Armor Lite and Armor Plus in 4-inch and 5-inch, plus a 4-inch Armor BLK, for 2007.5-2012 trucks, and Armor Lite and Armor Plus 5-inch for 2013-and-later trucks, listed by cab and bed. MBRP's universal exhaust adapter is here too.
- Banks Power Monster Exhaust, 5-inch single exit, in a 2010-2012 version and a 2013-2018 version.
- Mahle catalytic converter gaskets, an exhaust pipe flange gasket and a crankcase breather gasket.

Fitment notes
Year comes first. 2010-2012 and 2013-2018 DPF-back systems are different part numbers because the 2013 SCR canister changes where the tailpipe starts. On 2013-and-later trucks, cab and bed come next. MBRP lists a Crew Cab short bed system separately from the one that fits Mega Cab short bed and Crew Cab long bed. The 2013-2018 Banks system fits Crew Cab short and long bed and Mega Cab short bed, SRW and DRW, but not Regular Cab long bed or trucks with factory rear air suspension. Mahle's F32901 flange gasket is listed for 2007.5-2010 only, while the F32954 catalytic converter gasket is a 2013-2018 part. Chassis cabs use different exhaust routing, so verify those separately, and verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Should I go 4-inch or 5-inch on my Ram 2500?
Stock is a 4-inch single exit. A 4-inch DPF-back keeps the factory diameter, while a 5-inch system like the Banks Monster opens up flow area, 60 percent more on the 2013-2018 version. Either way the emissions equipment stays in place, so choose by sound, look and fitment.
Will the 2013-2018 Banks Monster fit my Regular Cab?
Not the long-bed Regular Cab. Banks lists the 2013-2018 system for Crew Cab short and long bed and Mega Cab short bed, SRW and DRW. It also does not fit trucks with factory rear air suspension.
Do I have to touch the SCR or DPF to install one of these systems?
No. A DPF-back system starts after the DPF, and on 2013-2018 trucks the new section slips over the pipe coming out of the SCR catalyst. The DOC, DPF and SCR stay in place.
