The 6.7L Cummins 4x4 trucks run a solid front axle on coils, located by a four-link and a track bar, with a front sway bar tied to the axle through end links. Those end links sit on the same wear list as the track bar, ball joints, control arms, shocks and hub bearings.

Choosing links and bushings

The BD Diesel 1032050 sway bar end links and the 1312051 end link bushing kit are listed for 2000-2009 Cummins trucks. If you have leveled or lifted, the BDS Suspension front sway bar link kit is built for 2 to 4 inch lifts. BDS also sells a front sway bar link disconnect kit that lets you unhook the bar and reconnect it later.

Fitment notes

The BDS parts are listed for 2003-2013 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins 4WD trucks; 2WD trucks use an independent front end. Sway bar fitment follows the chassis, not the engine. A clunk over bumps can also come from the track bar on these trucks, so check both before you order. Verify by VIN.

Once the front is raised 2 to 4 inches, the BDS front sway bar link kit for 2 to 4 inch lifts is the part made for that height. Keep in mind that a lift up to 3 inches also calls for coils, shocks and a track bar, so plan the links as part of the whole job.

Can I rebuild my end links instead of replacing them?

BD Diesel sells the 1312051 bushing kit as a service part for sway bar end links on 2000-2009 Cummins trucks. If the link body is sound, bushings are the smaller job; if not, the BD 1032050 end links replace the whole link. Compare your links to the product photos first.

What is the BDS disconnect kit for?
