An upgraded replacement is a complete headlamp assembly, not a bulb. Everything here comes from AlphaRex, and choosing one takes two steps.
- Pick a series. The Pro-Series is listed as a projector headlight. The Luxx-Series and Nova-Series are listed as LED projector headlights.
- Pick a finish. Pro-Series and Luxx-Series come in Black, Alpha-Black and Chrome. The Nova-Series adds Gloss Black to Black, Alpha-Black and Chrome.
Before you buy
Two checks save a return. First, match the front end: 2004.5-2005 trucks use the 2003-2005 housing, and 2006-2007 trucks use the 2006-2008 housing. Second, if your current headlights flicker or switch off by themselves on a 2006 or 2007 truck, look at the TIPM and power distribution; owners of 2006 Ram 2500 trucks traced that problem to TIPM faults, not the lamps.
