These are third-generation trucks, sold and badged as Dodge Ram; RAM became its own brand in 2010, which is why the catalog files them under RAM. The heavy-duty sheet metal ran 2003-2009, with a mid-cycle refresh for 2006 that brought a modernized front fascia and grille, a revised interior and the Mega Cab. Cab choices are Regular Cab, Quad Cab and, from 2006, Mega Cab, which adds 22 inches of cab length. That extra length changes bed length, wheelbase, running boards, drive shafts and exhaust routing. The 2500 is single rear wheel, the 3500 came as SRW or dually, and trims include ST, SLT and Laramie.
What fails and why
Exterior complaints are low on this generation, and there is no documented platform-specific body-mount failure pattern. Treat body mounts as an age and corrosion item, and inspect them when you are chasing a cab clunk that is not coming from the steering column. One exterior recall applies to the end of this run: some 2007 Ram 3500s left the factory with convex glass in the right outside mirror instead of flat (NHTSA 06V380000), which can throw off distance judgment. The dealer replaces the glass.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
Body mounts are a replacement job. When inspection shows the mounts have aged out or corroded, the S&B silicone kits replace them by cab and year. The rear-end parts are a style and utility choice rather than a repair. Big Hitch Products builds a steel roll pan with a license plate light kit, clamp-on sled stops that mount below or behind the roll pan, a flip-up license plate bracket and a fixed license plate mount bracket. Front-end dress-up parts like grilles and lighting are split by the 2006 refresh, so choose those by your truck's front-end style.

Fitment notes
Know your year split first. Where a part is split by year, a 2004.5-2005 truck takes the 2003-2005 version and a 2006-2007 truck takes the 2006-and-later version. The front fascia, grille and headlamps changed for 2006, and those parts do not interchange between 2003-2005 and 2006-2008 trucks. Mega Cab exists on this platform only for 2006-2007. The Power Wagon is a Hemi-only 2500, so its body, bumper and skid parts are not for a Cummins truck. The 2007 model year includes both 5.9L and 6.7L trucks, so confirm the engine, then verify by VIN.

Is my truck a Dodge or a RAM?
A 2004.5-2007 truck was sold and badged as a Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500. RAM became a standalone brand in 2010, and our catalog files these trucks under RAM. Shop by year, engine and cab and you will land on the right parts.
Do 2006-2007 front-end parts fit my 2005?
No. The 2006 refresh changed the front fascia, grille and headlamp assemblies, so 2003-2005 and 2006-2008 front-end parts are not interchangeable. The interior and dash changed for 2006 as well.
How do I tell if my 2007 has the 5.9L or the 6.7L?
The 5.9 was retired partway through the 2007 model year, and trucks built after January 1, 2007 got the 6.7L, rated at 350 hp and 650 lb-ft with the 68RFE six-speed automatic. The 5.9 trucks used the 48RE four-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. Go by the engine, not the model year, and verify by VIN.
Do Power Wagon bumper parts fit a Cummins truck?
Power Wagon parts belong to a 2500 that came only with the 5.7L Hemi. No Power Wagon of this generation had the Cummins, so shop by your own truck's engine and cab.
