Call or Text (352) 722-5295Air springs on the 2003-2004 Ram 5.9L Cummins
The rear of the third-generation Ram 2500 and 3500 rides on leaf springs with overload leaves. Load the bed or hook up a trailer and the factory packs can sag, leaving the nose high, the headlights aimed up and poor steering feel with a trailer behind you. Helper air springs and onboard compressors are the common route for sag control on these 5.9L Cummins trucks.
What we carry
Everything here is from Air Lift. Spring kits include the LoadLifter 5000, LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate and LoadLifter 7500XL helper spring kits, plus the Ultimate Plus stainless steel upgrade. For onboard air there are WirelessONE compressor systems, with or without EZ Mount, a WirelessONE tank upgrade kit, a WirelessAIR compressor system, an app-only WirelessAIR control system and a WirelessAIR tank with EZ Mount. Air Lift's Single Load Controller II and Heavy Duty Dual Load Controller are here too. You will also find 2, 4 and 6 inch air spring spacers, angled 4 and 6 inch spacers, a universal air spring cradle, a replacement onboard compressor and air hose.
How to choose
Start with the spring kit for your truck, then decide how you want to manage pressure. The load controllers and the WirelessONE and WirelessAIR systems are sold separately from the spring kits, so you can buy the springs now and add control later. If you change loads often, a wireless system saves trips to the air hose, and the WirelessAIR control system listed here runs from an app. If your truck has been leveled or lifted, check Air Lift's instructions to see whether your kit calls for a spacer or cradle.
Fitment notes
These parts are for the Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks. Spring kits are built for specific trucks, so run the fitment checker on the product page or verify by VIN. Your weight ratings are on the label in the driver's door jamb; tow and haul by those numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a compressor with a LoadLifter kit?
That depends on how often your load changes. The spring kits and the pressure-control options are separate products here, so you can start with the springs and add an Air Lift load controller or a WirelessONE or WirelessAIR system later.
Will air springs let me tow more?
Air springs help level the truck and control sag under a load. Your weight ratings come from the label in the driver's door jamb, and those are the numbers to tow and haul by.
