Call or Text (352) 722-5295Air springs and onboard air on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
Super Duty pickups carry their rear load on leaf springs. Put a heavy trailer pin or a slide-in camper on one and the rear settles. Air springs mounted between the frame and the axle let you add pressure to level the truck under load and let air back out when you unload. The Air Lift kit for these trucks, LoadLifter 5000 57398, fits leaf-spring 3/4- and 1-ton pickups, includes roll plates, and most installs need no frame drilling. Some trucks already got help from the factory: Tremor trucks run progressive-rate springs, and Camper Package trucks get heavier front springs, a rear stabilizer bar and, on the F-250, auxiliary springs. Check what your 6.7L Powerstroke truck has before you add more.
Choosing a setup
Start with the air springs, then decide how you want to fill and control them. A single load controller fills both springs together. A dual load controller lets you set each side on its own, which helps when the load is not centered. A wireless compressor system puts the pump and the controls on the truck so you can adjust pressure without hunting for a gas-station air hose. Whatever you run, pin and tongue weight still come out of the truck's payload, so a level truck is not the same as a truck within its ratings.
What we carry
This collection is built around Air Lift. For the springs: the 52300 LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus stainless steel upgrade, plus 52420 2-inch and 52440 4-inch air spring spacers. For onboard air: the 25980 and 25980EZ WirelessONE compressor systems, the 25981 WirelessONE tank upgrade kit and 25981EZ tank with EZ Mount, the 74000EZ WirelessAIR compressor system, the 74100EZ WirelessAIR tank and the app-only 73000EZ WirelessAIR control system. For control: the 25592 Single Load Controller II and the 25856 Heavy Duty Dual Load Controller. If an older compressor gives out, the 16192 is a replacement on-board compressor.
Fitment notes
The LoadLifter 5000 kit is not for cab-and-chassis trucks and does not work with Una-Goose under-bed hitches, though it fits most side-mount fifth-wheel hitches. Tremor and Camper Package trucks have different factory springs, so tell us which package you have. Confirm cab, bed and drivetrain, and verify by VIN before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Will Air Lift air springs fit my 2021 F-350 with a gooseneck hitch?
Most likely, if it is a leaf-spring pickup. The LoadLifter 5000 57398 kit fits most side-mount fifth-wheel hitches, but it is not compatible with Una-Goose hitches or cab-and-chassis trucks. Tell us your hitch brand and we will confirm before you order.
How much load can the LoadLifter 5000 level?
Air Lift rates the LoadLifter 5000 for up to 5,000 lb of load leveling on leaf-spring 3/4- and 1-ton trucks. Pin and tongue weight still count against your truck's payload, so leveling the truck does not change what the door label allows.
Do I need air springs if my truck has the Tremor or Camper Package?
Maybe not. Tremor trucks have progressive-rate springs, and Camper Package trucks get heavier front springs, a rear stabilizer bar and, on the F-250, auxiliary springs. Load the truck the way you use it and see how it sits before adding air.
