The rear of every 2020-2022 Super Duty is leaf-sprung, and 4x4 trucks carry a 3-inch block between spring and axle from the factory. A rear sway bar runs across the axle and connects to the frame through end links, tying the two sides together to cut body roll. Ford's Camper Package (471) adds a rear stabilizer bar on single-rear-wheel trucks, along with increased-capacity front springs and, on the F-250, rear auxiliary springs.

Why a lift changes the links

Lift a 4x4 Super Duty and the distance between frame and axle grows. A link kit sized for a specific lift range, like this BDS kit for 6-8 inch lifts, is how you keep the rear bar connected at the new height. Lifting also moves the front axle off center and changes caster, so a tall lift is a package of parts, not one.

This kit is listed for 4WD trucks only, and only for 6-8 inch lifts. It is not listed for leveled or mildly lifted trucks. 2WD Super Duty trucks use a different front suspension and have few lift options in the first place. If your truck doesn't have a rear sway bar, links won't help. Check what your lift kit already includes before adding this one, and verify by VIN or call us.

How do I know if my truck has a rear sway bar?

Look under the rear for a bar running across the axle with short links up to the frame. Ford's Camper Package adds a rear stabilizer bar on SRW trucks, so a truck without that package may not have one. Call with your VIN and we'll check the build.

Do I need this kit with a BDS lift?

If your lift is 6 to 8 inches and the truck has a rear sway bar, this is the link kit BDS lists for that height. Check the contents of your lift kit first. If links aren't included, add this one.

Will this fit a 2WD truck?

No. It's listed for 4WD trucks only, and the lift kits it pairs with are 4WD parts as well.
