Lift kits on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

A 4x4 Super Duty locates its solid front axle with coil springs, radius arms and a track bar. A real lift has to handle all three: taller springs, arms or links that hold the axle where it belongs at the new height, and a way to keep the axle centered side to side. In the rear, the leaf springs sit on a factory 3-inch block on 4x4 trucks, and kits are engineered from that baseline. 2WD trucks use Twin I-Beam and are not candidates for these kits.

What goes wrong after a lift

The common complaints after a lift come from geometry. Raising the truck moves the front axle off center and changes caster, and you feel it as steering pull and shimmy, or see an axle that sits to one side. Check what each kit includes for track bar and caster correction, and if you add tire size or lift later, expect to revisit both. Radius arm or 4-link

BDS offers most heights in both designs. Radius-arm kits keep the factory-style layout of long arms and a track bar at the new height. 4-link kits locate the axle with four links instead. Neither is wrong. The choice comes down to how you use the truck, and we're glad to talk it through on the phone.

Kits marked FOX 2.5 Coil-Over Conversion swap in FOX 2.5 coil-overs as part of the lift. BDS also sells the conversion as a separate upgrade for its 4- and 6-inch lifts, so at those heights you can start with a standard kit and add it later.

Fitment notes

• 4WD only. Twin I-Beam 2WD trucks are excluded.
• Read the title for SRW, DRW and F-450. Kits marked DRW are for dually trucks, and the 2.5-inch kits are F-450 listings.
• Tremor trucks. The factory 2-inch front lift means a kit measured from stock won't add its full height over a Tremor.
• Rear block. Kits assume the factory 3-inch rear block on 4x4 trucks.
• Track bar and caster. Some 2020-and-later trucks keep the factory track bar bracket with certain kits, and some caster bushings don't fit 10-lug trucks.
• Years. 2023 began an all-new fifth-generation Super Duty with a new body and frame, so a kit titled 2020-2022 isn't a 2023 part.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the radius-arm and 4-link BDS kits?

Both lift the 4x4 solid front axle; they differ in how the axle is located. The factory uses radius arms and a track bar, and the radius-arm kits keep that layout at the new height, while the 4-link kits use four links. Call us and we'll talk through which suits the way you drive.

What does the FOX 2.5 coil-over conversion add?

It swaps in FOX 2.5 coil-overs as part of the lift. BDS builds it into many of these kits and also sells it as an upgrade for its 4- and 6-inch lifts. If you're not ready for it now, those two heights give you a path to add it later.

I have a dually. Which kits fit?

Look for DRW in the title. BDS lists DRW versions separately at several heights, and the 2.5-inch kits here are specific to the F-450. Don't assume a kit without a DRW note fits a dually; verify by VIN or call us.

How much lift will I actually get on a Tremor?

Less than the number on the kit. The Tremor already runs a 2-inch front lift, so a kit measured from stock ride height won't add its full rated lift over the Tremor's height. Its springs and dampers are also unique to the package, so call with your VIN first.
