2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Exhaust Accessories

Exhaust accessories for the 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 with the 6.7L Powerstroke: tips, clamps, gaskets, heat wrap and the sensors the aftertreatment depends on. Most of these are small parts. On this truck, though, a bad sensor or a leaking joint can set DEF and SCR codes, so pick them by part number and year, not by looks alone.

Exhaust accessories on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

This page covers two kinds of parts. The first is the finish work behind the DPF and SCR: tips, clamps and heat wrap. MBRP's 4-inch DPF-back kits for this truck ship with a 4x5x15 tip and bolt on with no welding in about 1.5 to 2 hours, and most of the tips here use a 4-inch inlet. The second is the service side: sensors and gaskets for an exhaust that carries two-stage cooled EGR, a diesel oxidation catalyst, a silicon-carbide DPF and an SCR catalyst fed by DEF.

What fails and why

On the 6.7L, DEF/SCR/NOx faults come from degraded DEF, crystals at the dosing injector, damaged sensor wiring and exhaust leaks. They show up as codes like P20EE and P207F, then a countdown to derate, then a 5 mph limp if you ignore it. DPF-load warnings are a separate story: regens that never finish because of short trips, idle time or boost and intake leaks. Gaskets and clamps matter for the leak part of that list. Sensors matter once diagnosis points at one.

Stock replacement vs. upgrade

Sensors and gaskets are stock replacement parts, plain and simple. Match the part number and year to what came off the truck. Tips and heat wrap are where you get to choose. A tip changes the look at the end of a factory or DPF-back system, and the outlet size is what people see. If you want the factory look cleaned up without changing the exhaust, MBRP's T5111 is a tip cover set made for the factory 5-inch tip on a stock exhaust.

What we carry

  • Tips: MBRP rolled, angled, straight-cut, turndown, dual-wall and black hex tips with a 4-inch inlet and 4- to 8-inch outlets; PPE 3-inch stainless and 4-inch 304 stainless tips; and a Mishimoto 6-inch polished angled-cut tip.
  • Sensors: Alliant Power AP63602 DPF pressure differential sensor and AP63639 particulate matter sensor, an XDP XD1061 EGT sensor, and SPE Motorsport EGT sensor adapters in 1/8-inch NPT and a version for 2015-and-later trucks with the large EGT sensor.
  • Gaskets: Mahle EGR cooler core, EGR cooler end tank and EGR tube gaskets plus the F32820 intermediate-pipe-to-tailpipe gasket, and a Dorman 904-332 EGR cooler gasket kit.
  • Hardware and extras: BD Diesel exhaust V-band clamp, remote-mount exhaust brake and the 1036757 E-PAS emergency engine shutdown, plus the Mishimoto MMTW-235 exhaust heat wrap set.

Fitment notes

Year ranges vary more than you would expect on this page. The Alliant DPF pressure differential sensor and the Dorman EGR cooler gasket kit are listed through 2020, so they are not listed for 2021-2022 trucks. The Alliant particulate matter sensor and the XDP EGT sensor cover 2017-2022, and the BD E-PAS is listed for 2020-2025. Mahle's G32662 and G33878 EGR tube gaskets both cover 2020-2022 but are different parts, so match the number to the joint you are opening. The 6.7L already has an integrated exhaust brake from the factory, so read the BD remote-mount brake listing for its application before you order. For tips, measure your tailpipe first. When in doubt, verify by VIN, and browse more in our exhaust section.

Frequently asked questions

Will an aftermarket tip fit my factory exhaust?

The MBRP T5111 cover set is made for the factory 5-inch tip on a stock exhaust. Most of the other tips here have a 4-inch inlet, which lines up with the 4-inch DPF-back systems, and the outlets run from 4 to 8 inches. Measure your tailpipe before you order.

Which sensor fixes a DPF-load warning?

A warning alone does not point at a sensor. On the 6.7L, incomplete regens come from short trips, idle time and boost or intake leaks, so start there. If a scan does point at the DPF pressure differential sensor, the Alliant AP63602 is listed for 2017-2020 trucks, so check your year first.

What are the Mahle EGR gaskets for?

They seal the EGR cooler core, the cooler end tank and the EGR tubes. The 6.7L runs two-stage cooled EGR, so there are several sealed joints in that system. Match the Mahle part number to the gasket you are replacing; the G33878 tube gasket is listed for 2020-2026 and the G32662 for 2011-2026.
