Call or Text (352) 722-5295Cooling parts on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L runs a dual cooling system with a mechanical thermostat assembly. The primary loop cools the block and heads, and a secondary low-temperature loop cools the air-to-water charge air cooler, the EGR cooler, the fuel cooler and the transmission fluid cooler. The radiator sits in a stack with the secondary-loop heat exchanger and the A/C condenser, which is why a condenser shows up in a cooling collection. On 2020-and-newer trucks, the 10R140 ten-speed's cooler sits beneath the transmission bellhousing with a coolant control valve on the return hose. The hoses, clamps and fittings here are the plumbing that ties all of that together on your Powerstroke.
What fails and why
Leaks from the radiator, hoses, water pump and fittings are the cooling failure family on every 6.7L generation, and they get worse with miles and towing hours. The signs are coolant loss you can't explain, a sweet smell under the hood and overheating on grades. If the truck runs hot only under tow and is fine empty, check for a plugged cooling stack, an airflow restriction or a worn fan clutch before you change parts. Inspect hoses and clamps twice a year so a slow leak gets fixed before it becomes an overheat.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
If one part failed and you want factory behavior back, go direct: the Alliant Power AP63540 primary thermostat, the Dorman 902-1074 thermostat housing, a MAHLE C32601 thermostat gasket kit, Dorman or Dayco radiator hoses and the Dorman heater hose clamp kit. If you want to build it once, look at the WCFab billet thermostat housing, the Fleece thermostat housing upgrade, the WCFab and S&B upper coolant pipes and SPE Motorsport's upgraded coolant cap, hoses and fittings. SPE also sells a kit that puts the upper and lower radiator hoses and a thermostat in one box. Thermostats come in more than one temperature rating: Mishimoto offers high- and low-temperature primary thermostats, and SPE offers a low-temp, high-flow unit. Choose the rating on purpose, and call us if you are unsure which suits the way you run the truck.
What we carry

Fitment notes
Year ranges in this collection vary more than most. Many parts are listed 2011-2025 or 2017-2025 and cover your truck, but some do not line up neatly: the Dorman 626-845 upper hose is listed 2017-2021, the Dayco 74334 lower hose 2020-2023, the Dayco 74333 upper hose carries a split range in its title, and the CSF condenser is listed 2017-2022. Read the year range in each title and verify by VIN. Any thermostat or hose job opens a cooling loop, so have coolant on hand that matches Ford's 2020-and-newer Motorcraft Yellow spec, WSS-M97B57-A1/A2. Chassis cabs share the engine but are separate products.
Frequently asked questions
Is the thermostat on the 6.7L Powerstroke electronically controlled?
No. The thermostat assembly on this engine's dual cooling system is mechanical. That keeps replacement simple: choose a direct replacement like the Alliant Power AP63540, or a Mishimoto or SPE unit if you want a different temperature rating.
Which upper radiator hose fits a 2022 F-350?
Check the year range on each hose. The SPE Motorsport S100164 is listed 2011-2026, while the Dorman 626-845 stops at 2021 and the Dayco 74333 carries a split range. Verify by VIN or with the fitment checker before you order.
Why is an A/C condenser listed with cooling parts?
On the 6.7L the radiator sits in a stack with the secondary-loop heat exchanger and the A/C condenser. Debris packed between those layers causes overheating under tow, so the condenser is part of the cooling picture.
How often should I inspect the hoses and clamps?
Twice a year is a good rule. Hoses, clamps and the radiator are the leak-prone wear items on this engine, and a slow leak caught early stays a hose job instead of becoming an overheat.
