Call or Text (352) 722-5295Lifting the 2017-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
Ford located the solid front axle on these 4x4 trucks with radius arms and a track bar, sprung it on coils and added a stabilizer bar and a steering damper. A lift moves all of that. The BDS kits here are diesel-specific, because the diesel trucks use different front spring rates than the gas trucks, and they include the track bar and sway-bar link pieces the extra height calls for, with rear blocks or add-a-leafs to bring the back up. Stock ground clearance runs about 8.2 to 8.8 inches depending on model, so factor the new height into garage and step-in clearance. Parts for every other system on these trucks start at our Powerstroke page.
Before you lift
On 2017-2019 F-250 and F-350 4x4 trucks and all F-450 and F-550 models, a hit on rough pavement or an expansion joint above about 45 mph can set off a violent front-end shake. Ford's program 20N04 covers a redesigned steering linkage damper, and the wear items behind the shake are the track bar, radius arms, ball joints and tie-rod ends. A lift install puts all of those in your hands, so replace what is worn while the front end is apart and finish with an alignment.
Radius arm or 4-link
BDS offers both front layouts for this generation. The radius-arm kits come in 2.5, 4 and 6 inches. The 4-link conversions come in 4, 6 and 8 inches, so if you want 8 inches the 4-link is the route. Either layout can be ordered with a FOX 2.5 coil-over conversion, and BDS also sells that conversion as a separate upgrade for 4-inch and 6-inch lifts. Think about how the truck is used, whether that's towing, daily driving or trail work, and call us to talk through the trade-offs before you choose.
What we carry
BDS Suspension supplies the lift kits: radius-arm kits at 2.5, 4 and 6 inches, 4-link conversions at 4, 6 and 8 inches, FOX 2.5 coil-over versions of each, and dedicated 4-inch kits for dually trucks. SPE Motorsport adds a fixed caster kit for correcting caster after a height change.
Fitment notes
Every BDS kit here is listed for 4WD trucks. Single and dual rear wheel trucks take different kits, and the dually versions are 4-inch kits in radius-arm or 4-link form. The F-450 also uses a wider-track front axle than the F-250 and F-350, so confirm your model with the fitment checker. Gas and diesel kits are not interchangeable, so buy the diesel version. The complete BDS kits are listed for 2017-2019, while the stand-alone FOX coil-over upgrades list 2017-2026, so don't assume a kit for a newer truck fits yours. If you run air helper springs, measure the bracket gap after the lift, since lifted trucks may need spacers. Verify by VIN before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a lift kit for a dually?
Yes. BDS lists 4-inch kits for dual-rear-wheel 4WD trucks, in radius-arm and 4-link versions, each with or without the FOX 2.5 coil-over conversion. Single-rear-wheel kits will not substitute, so order the DRW listing and confirm your model before you buy.
Will a gas F-250 lift kit work on my diesel?
Don't count on it. BDS builds separate gas and diesel kits for 2017-2019 because the front spring rates differ, and single and dual rear wheel kits differ as well. Order the version that matches your engine and your rear wheels.
What happens to my air helper springs after a lift?
Check the brackets. Lifted trucks may need spacers for the air-spring brackets, so measure the bracket gap once the lift is installed. Air Lift spacers come in 2, 4 and 6 inch heights, including angled versions, in our air spring section.
