2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Leveling Kits

Leveling kits for 2011-2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 4x4 trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. These Super Dutys leave the factory with the nose lower than the tail, and front leveling is the most common suspension change on this body. Know this before you order: the same 2.5-inch kit can net anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 inches, depending on your factory springs.

Leveling the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

On a 4x4 Super Duty, the front axle is a solid Dana Super 60 sitting on coil springs, held in place by two radius arms and a track bar. Leveling raises the front of the truck to match the rear, and there are a few ways to get there. A coil spacer sits on the factory spring. A replacement coil spring or a complete kit changes the spring itself, and some kits bundle more hardware. The 6.7L Powerstroke trucks need diesel-specific parts, because the diesel's front spring rate is different from the gas trucks. A kit built for a gas Super Duty will not sit the same on yours.

Why results vary truck to truck

Ford used different coil spring rates depending on the option package, so two trucks with the same kit can end up at different heights. A 2.5-inch coil-spring kit can net anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 inches. Trucks with the Camper Package (option 471) came with increased-capacity front springs, which is one reason your buddy's truck may not match yours. The rear matters too. A 2011-2016 F-250 may need a rear block kit to sit level after a 2.5-inch front kit, while an F-350 usually does not.

Choosing a kit

Start with how much rake you want gone and what tires you plan to run. A 1-inch kit is a mild change that keeps the truck close to stock. A 2.5-inch kit takes out most of the factory rake, and a 2.5-inch coil-spring kit for 2011-2016 4WD diesels is listed to clear up to 35x12.50 tires. If you want more than a spacer, the Bilstein B8 5112 and B8 5162 series leveling kits and the SPE Motorsport Stage-1 and Stage-2 2.5-inch kits are the bigger packages; read each listing for exactly what is in the box. Plan for install time: a 2.5-inch coil-spring kit runs about 5.3 hours, plus an alignment and headlamp aiming.

Fitment notes

Every leveling kit here that lists a drivetrain is for 4WD. 4x2 trucks use Twin-I-Beam front suspension and need different parts. Front parts for this body share the 2005-2016 4x4 design, which is why several kits list 2005 or later starts. The SPE rear block kit is listed for 2011-2019 6.7L trucks. Plan on an alignment and headlamp aim after any front leveling job. If you are unsure which springs your truck came with, verify by VIN before you order.

Frequently asked questions

How much lift will a 2.5-inch leveling kit give my F-250 or F-350?

Somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5 inches. Ford's coil spring rate varies by option package, so the same kit lands differently on different trucks. Measure fender height at all four corners before and after so you know where you ended up.

Do I need a rear block kit after leveling?

On a 2011-2014 F-250, maybe. F-250s can need a rear block kit to sit level after a 2.5-inch front kit, while F-350s usually do not. The SPE Motorsport 1-inch rear block kit on this page covers that.

Can I run 35-inch tires after leveling?

A 2.5-inch coil-spring leveling kit for 2011-2016 4WD diesel trucks is listed to clear up to 35x12.50 tires. Check clearance at full steering lock after install, and remember your actual gain depends on your factory springs.

How long does a leveling kit install take?

A 2.5-inch coil-spring kit runs about 5.3 hours, then it needs an alignment and headlamp aim. If you would rather not do it in the driveway, we install what we sell at our shop in Wildwood, FL.
