2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Front Differential Covers

Front differential covers for 4x4 2011-2014 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 pickups with the 6.7L Powerstroke. These trucks use the Dana Super 60 front axle with a 10-bolt cover, and the factory cover carries the BOM tag that identifies your axle. Write that number down before the old cover comes off.

The Dana Super 60 front on the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Four-wheel-drive Super Duty pickups behind the 6.7L Powerstroke use Ford's Dana Super 60 front axle, a 2005-2016 design with unitized hubs and hublocks. It hangs on a 3-link coil suspension with dual radius arms and a track bar. You can identify it three ways: the BOM tag on the 10-bolt diff cover, which measures roughly 12 in by 11-1/16 in; a white decal on the right axle tube; and a BOM number that starts with 2. That BOM number is how front axle service kits are matched, so record it before you swap covers. When the new cover is on, refill with 80W-90, about 2.7 to 2.9 quarts.

What we carry

  • PPE Dana 50/60 10-bolt heavy-duty cast aluminum front differential cover.
  • Mag-Hytec 60-FF Dana 60 Ford front differential cover, listed for 2006-2026 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstroke trucks.
  • SPE Motorsport Dana 60 front differential cover.
  • ATS Diesel Performance 402-009-1000 drain plug, which fits ATS pans and differential covers.

Stock cover or aftermarket?

If the factory cover is sound, it only needs to come off for service. Choose one of these covers when the factory piece is damaged or when you want a heavy-duty cast aluminum part in its place. Each listing names the axle and year range it is built for, so read it against your BOM tag.

Fitment notes

These covers are for 4x4 trucks only. A 4x2 F-250 or F-350 uses Twin-I-Beam front suspension and has no front differential. Hub bearings and u-joints, which many owners report wearing on these axles past 100,000 miles, are not part of this collection. Verify by VIN if you are not sure what is under the truck.

Frequently asked questions

Does my 2WD truck need a front differential cover?

No. Two-wheel-drive trucks in this range use Twin-I-Beam front suspension, so there is no front axle housing to cover. Everything on this page is for 4x4 trucks with the Dana Super 60.

What should I do with the BOM tag when I change the cover?

Record the number before the factory cover comes off, and keep it with the truck's paperwork. Front axle service kits for the Super 60 are matched by that number, so you will want it the next time you order hub assemblies, ball joints, u-joints or seals.

What fluid goes back in after a cover swap?

The front Super 60 takes 80W-90, about 2.7 to 2.9 quarts. Lucas Oil 10043 Heavy Duty 80W-90 is listed in our differential fluid collection for these trucks.
