The BD Diesel 47RE Transmission & Converter Package will upgrade the stock transmission on your 1997-1999 Dodge 5.9 Diesel. Stock transmissions are only designed to handle the torque of the stock engine. As performance upgrades are made to the engine, the factory transmission struggles to handle the increased power. BD Diesel Transmission & Converter Package ensures you have a transmission that can equal the performance of your engine.

Each transmission packages includes a BD rigid aluminum heavy duty transmission pan which adds extra oil capacity and lessens case flex, a double lock-up converter with X-Stator technology, and a BD auxiliary full flow filter kit for extra defense. The BD Diesel Transmission & Converter Package features a heavy-duty clutch with up to 25% more material than stock and a new design valve body that achieves up to 80% higher clutch apply pressures over the stock unit.

Warranty Note:

A new BD Diesel Torque Converter must be installed at the time of installation of a BD-Power Transmission. Use of a 3rd party or OE Torque Converter will void transmission warranty.
