Call or Text (352) 722-5295Air springs and on-board air on the 2019-2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins
Ram offered factory rear air suspension on this generation, and it works differently by model. On the 2500, two air springs replace the rear coil springs. On the 3500, supplemental air bags work alongside the leaf springs. The factory system has Bed-Lowering, Normal/Payload and Trailer-Tow modes, and auto-leveling rear air was part of the 2019 Max Tow package on the 3500. Trucks without it carry the load on their steel springs alone, and that's where an aftermarket air spring setup, and the compressors and controls on this page, come in.
How to choose
Think of these parts as the air supply and control side of an Air Lift air spring setup. A compressor system puts air on the truck, so you can add pressure for a load and let it out when you unhook. A tank kit adds stored air to the system. A load controller is how you set and read pressure, and a dual controller lets you set the left and right sides separately. The 2-inch and 4-inch air spring spacers are fitment parts, so check the listing for the Air Lift kits they're built for.
Factory rear air vs. aftermarket
If your truck has factory rear air, don't add coil-replacement helper springs. Use air-ride-compatible products or let the factory auto-level handle the load. If your truck rides on steel springs alone, an aftermarket air spring setup with on-board air gives you a way to adjust for tongue or pin weight. WirelessONE and WirelessAIR are the two compressor platforms here, each offered in EZ Mount form with a matching tank, and the WirelessAIR control system is listed as app-only.
What we carry
Everything in this collection comes from Air Lift:
- WirelessONE compressor systems (25980 and 25980EZ), the 25981 WirelessONE tank upgrade kit and the 25981EZ tank with EZ Mount.
- WirelessAIR compressor system 74000EZ, the 74100EZ WirelessAIR tank with EZ Mount, and the 73000EZ WirelessAIR control system (app-only).
- Single Load Controller II (25592) and Heavy Duty Dual Load Controller (25856).
- The 16192 replacement on-board air compressor.
- Air spring spacers in 2-inch (52420) and 4-inch (52440) heights.
Fitment notes
Check for factory rear air before you buy anything here, and note whether you have a 2500 or a 3500, since the factory setups differ. Make sure the compressor, tank and controller match the Air Lift system on your truck, especially when you're choosing between WirelessONE and WirelessAIR parts. Verify by VIN, or call us and we'll sort it out. More parts for this engine are at the Cummins hub.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add helper springs to a truck with factory rear air?
Not the coil-replacement kind. Trucks with Ram's factory rear air suspension don't take coil-replacement helper springs. Use air-ride-compatible products, or rely on the factory auto-level and its Trailer-Tow mode.
Do these compressors come with air bags?
No. This collection is the air supply and control side: compressors, tanks, controllers and spacers. They work with an Air Lift air spring setup on the truck, so match them to the kit you run or plan to install.
Did my truck come with rear air from the factory?
It might have. On a 2019 3500, the Max Tow package included auto-leveling rear air along with 4.10 gears, dual rear wheels and a 30K fifth-wheel hitch, and rear air was available as an option on other trucks. Look for air springs at the rear axle, or have the build checked by VIN.
