The Bosch CP3 is the high-pressure pump on every 2007.5-2018 Ram with the 6.7L Cummins, and on these trucks it feeds a common rail and Bosch solenoid injectors at up to 26,000 psi. Inside, it uses bucket followers riding a coated, non-rotating polygonal ring, with lower spring tension and a shorter stroke than the CP4.2. That's why the CP3 is considered the more robust pump. The CP4.2 went on 2019-2020 Ram 2500, 3500 and 3500-5500 chassis cab trucks and was recalled under NHTSA 21V-880, with dealers replacing the high-pressure pump. On 2013-2018 trucks the pump's inlet metering valve, also called the FCA or MPROP, is sold as a separate service part.
Why the pump gets replaced or upgraded
Owners shop this page for one of two reasons: a stock replacement pump, or more fuel for a built engine. On this platform, conversion means adding capacity, not swapping pump types. Dual-pump kits mount a second high-pressure pump with its own bracket, pulley and plumbing, and fuel distribution blocks handle the supply and return routing. The known trouble spots in this fuel system sit upstream of the pump, at the filters: the plastic engine filter cap that cracks during service, the corroded chassis filter base on 2013-2018 trucks, and the fuel heater connector covered by recall 14V-635. Keep that side healthy and the CP3 gets clean fuel to work with.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
For a stock truck, a remanufactured or new stock-flow CP3 matches what the factory installed. Choices here include the Alliant Power AP55206 reman CP3 and the XDP XD598 reman CP3, both listed for 2007.5-2018, a brand-new CP3 or the DDPCP3-334 reman from Dynomite Diesel, and the Exergy CP3 built on the 6.7 pump for 2007.5-2012. The MAHLE D32483 fuel pump O-ring seal is here for the install. For builds beyond stock injector flow, upgraded CP3s are drop-in replacements for the factory pump. Fleece lists the CP3K (FPE-CUMM-CP3K-6.7), the PowerFlo 750 with 10 mm plungers (FPE-CUMM-CP3-10MM-6.7) and the PowerFlo 1000 with 12 mm plungers (FPE-CUMM-CP3-12MM-6.7) for 2013-2018. The PowerFlo 750 is the one listed here, alongside S&S Diesel Motorsport high-pressure pumps. Size any injector upgrade to the turbo's airflow with the manufacturer's input, and expect to upgrade the lift pump with it.

Fitment notes
CP4-to-CP3 conversion kits are for 2019-2020 trucks only; a 2010-2018 Ram already has a CP3 and doesn't need one. Fleece catalogs its upgraded CP3s under 2013-2018, so a 2010-2012 owner should confirm fitment on the product page. Dual-pump hardware splits at 2013: Fleece FPE-DPK-67-1012 is for 2010-2012 and FPE-DPK-67-1318 for 2013-2018, and the PPE Dual Fueler is listed for 2007.5-2012. The Exergy inlet metering valve is listed for 2013-2018, and Exergy's 6.7 CP3 for 2007.5-2012. Contamination kits split between 2013-2018 pickups and Cab & Chassis trucks. Do I need a CP4-to-CP3 conversion on my 2010-2018 Ram?
No. Every 2010-2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 came with a Bosch CP3 from the factory. The CP4.2 and its 21V-880 recall apply to 2019-2020 trucks, which is who those conversion kits are built for.
What's the difference between the Fleece CP3K, PowerFlo 750 and PowerFlo 1000?
All three are upgraded CP3s that drop in for the factory pump on 2013-2018 trucks, meant for builds beyond stock injector flow. The PowerFlo 750 uses 10 mm plungers and the PowerFlo 1000 uses 12 mm plungers. The PowerFlo 750 is the one listed on this page.
Is a reman CP3 the right choice for a stock truck?
For a truck that's staying stock, a remanufactured or new stock-flow CP3 matches what the factory installed. Alliant Power, XDP and Dynomite Diesel all have one here. Upgraded pumps are meant for engines built past stock injector flow.
Do dual-pump kits fit every 2010-2018 Ram?
