Call or Text (352) 722-5295Monitor mounts on the 2007.5-2009 Ram 6.7L Cummins
Here's why a mount listed for 2006-2009 fits a truck whose engine showed up in 2007.5. The 6.7L Cummins went into the third-generation Ram 2500 and 3500, badged Dodge Ram in these years, in mid-2007, replacing the 5.9L. The body and cab carried over from the 2006-2007 third-generation refresh and stayed through the 2009 model year, so cab-mounted parts like this one span 2006-2009 while engine parts are 2007.5-specific. The 2010 trucks moved to the fourth-generation body with a new cab and interior, and that's where this fitment ends. For engine parts, start at our Cummins hub.
Why mounting matters
The point of a monitor on this truck is early warning. DPF loading and a sticking VGT build quietly on the 2007.5-2009 6.7L until the cluster warns you or the truck derates, and soot load, regen status and boost are the numbers that tell you first. A screen you have to look down and away to read is a screen you'll stop checking. Common monitor mounting options include an A-pillar pod, a suction mount on the glass and a surface mount on the dash. An A-pillar mount keeps the display up near your line of sight without sticking it to the windshield or taking up dash space.
What we carry
This page carries the Edge Products 38600 A-Pillar Display Mount, listed for 2006-2009 6.7L Cummins trucks. It's built to hold an Edge display on the pillar, so tell us which Edge screen you run and we'll confirm the match. The Edge Insight CTS3 monitor listed for these trucks is on the monitors page, and Edge's EAS accessories, like the EGT kit for owners who tow, are on the accessories page.
Fitment notes
This is a cab part, so fitment follows the cab: the 2006-2009 third-generation Ram 2500 and 3500. It won't fit a 2010 or newer truck, because that's when the fourth-generation cab arrived. Third-gen trucks came as Regular Cab, Quad Cab and Mega Cab, with the 3500 in single or dual rear wheel form, and the listing is by year and engine rather than cab style. If you've got a chassis cab, call before you order, since the 4500/5500 use a different chassis from the pickups. When in doubt, verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Will this mount fit a 2010 or newer Ram?
No. The 38600 is listed for 2006-2009 trucks. The Ram 2500 and 3500 moved to the fourth-generation body for 2010 with a new cab and interior, so look for a mount listed for the newer cab.
Why is it listed 2006-2009 when the 6.7L started in 2007.5?
Because it mounts to the cab, not the engine. The 2007.5 trucks kept the body and cab from the 2006-2007 third-generation refresh, so a cab-mounted part spans those years even though the 6.7L only arrived mid-2007.
Can I use this mount with a monitor from another brand?
It's an Edge display mount, made for Edge screens. Other monitors have their own mounting options, such as A-pillar pods, suction mounts, surface mounts or standard 52-mm gauge pods. If you're running something other than Edge, call us and we'll help you sort out the right mount.
