2003 was an all-new truck for the Ram 2500 and 3500, and the headlight is part of that original third-generation front end. The design carried through 2005, then the 2006 model year brought a modernized fascia. That makes the headlight a part where the model year matters far more than the drivetrain. The 5.9L Cummins under the hood has no bearing on which headlight fits; the front end does.
Why owners replace them
No headlight defect is known on this generation. The reasons are age: lenses that yellow and haze, output that has dropped off, and bulbs that have reached the end of their life. If your lenses have gone cloudy and the light on the road has gone dim, a complete assembly replaces the lens and housing together, and an upgraded one changes the optics while it's at it.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
An OE-style assembly returns the truck to the way it left the factory. An upgraded assembly gives you projector optics and a different housing finish. This page is the upgrade side. The Nova-Series and Luxx-Series are listed as LED projector headlights. The Pro-Series is listed as a projector headlight without the LED label, so check its product page for the light source and bulb requirements before you buy.

Chrome suits a truck with bright trim. Black and Alpha-Black suit a darker grille or a blacked-out look.

Confirm the listing covers the 2003-2005 front end; a headlight listed only for 2006-2008 won't fit. These are fitments for the Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks. What's the difference between the Nova, Luxx and Pro series?
Nova-Series and Luxx-Series are listed as LED projector headlights. The Pro-Series is listed as a projector headlight. Each comes in chrome, black and Alpha-Black housings; open the product pages to compare styling, light source and what comes in the box.
Will these headlights fit a 2005 Ram as well?
The front end didn't change until the 2006 refresh, so a headlight built for the 2003-2005 front end covers a 2005 too. Confirm the years on the listing before you order.
My truck is a 2004.5 Cummins 600. Does that change the headlight?
No. The mid-2004 change was an engine update: the 325 hp, 600 lb-ft High Output with a new turbo and injectors. The body stayed the same until 2006, so the pre-refresh headlights still apply.
Will new headlights fix dim lights?
If the cause is yellowed, hazed lenses or worn-out bulbs, the normal age items on these trucks, a new assembly takes care of it. We can install it for you at the shop in Wildwood, FL.
