Call or Text (352) 722-5295Rear sway bar parts on the 1998.5-2002 RAM 5.9L Cummins
The rear of your second-gen rides on leaf springs, and the rear sway bar links tie the bar to the axle to help control body roll. Links and their bushings are wear parts, and sway bar end links and frame bushings are a standard replacement category for the 24-valve trucks. While you are under the rear, look at the leaf-spring bushings too. Worn leaf-spring bushings or a rear axle out of alignment can make the truck dog-track, and worn trailing-arm bushings up front can add clunks and wander. More parts for the 5.9L Cummins are on our engine page.
What we carry
The BDS Suspension rear sway bar link kit, listed for 1994-2002 Ram 2500 trucks with the 5.9L Cummins, and the BD Diesel 1312051 sway bar end link bushing kit, listed for 2000-2009 Cummins trucks.
Fitment notes
The BDS kit is listed for the 2500. Every 3500 of this generation is a long-bed dual-rear-wheel truck, so 3500 owners should confirm fit before ordering. The BD bushing kit is listed for 2000-2009, which leaves 1998.5-1999 owners to check fitment first. Verify by VIN or use the fitment checker.
Frequently asked questions
Does the BDS rear sway bar link kit fit a 3500?
It is listed for the 1994-2002 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins. Every second-gen 3500 is a long-bed dually, so call us or use the fitment checker before you order one for a 3500.
My truck tracks crooked. Is it the rear sway bar?
Probably not by itself. On these trucks, worn leaf-spring bushings and rear axle alignment are known causes of dog-tracking. Check those while you are replacing the links.
