Call or Text (352) 722-5295Headlight options for the 2007.5-2010 GMC Sierra HD
GMC built the GMT900 Sierra HD with halogen headlamps. Fog lamps were separate halogen units tied to trim: added to the WT through the SL/Work Truck Preferred package, available on the SLE and standard on the SLT. An upgraded replacement changes the headlamp itself, so the engine has nothing to do with the choice; the body style does.
Pro-Series or Nova-Series
The decision on this page comes down to series and finish. The Pro-Series 880605 is a projector headlight in jet black. The Nova-Series units are listed as LED projector headlights and come in chrome (880607), matte black (880608) and gloss black (880609). Matte and gloss black suit a Sierra with darkened trim, while chrome keeps a brighter face on an SLE or SLT. Check each product page for the lighting details before choosing.
Before you order
Year alone does not settle headlight fit on these trucks; body style does. A 2007 Sierra could be either of two trucks. The Sierra Classic is the older GMT800 design and takes GMT800 lamps. The 2007 new-body Sierra is a GMT900 and shares its lamps with the 2008-2010 trucks covered here. Also stay on the GMC listings: AlphaRex catalogs separate part numbers for the Sierra and the Silverado, and the numbers on this page are the Sierra ones.
What we carry
Everything here comes from AlphaRex: the Pro-Series 880605 jet black projector headlight, plus the Nova-Series LED projector headlights 880607 in chrome, 880608 in matte black and 880609 in gloss black.
Fitment notes
This collection covers the 2007.5-2010 Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD. Fog lamps are separate from the headlamps on these trucks, so they are not part of these headlights whether your Sierra is a WT, SLE or SLT. Confirm your exact truck with the fitment checker on the product page before ordering. Engine and drivetrain parts for this Sierra are in our Duramax section.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Silverado headlights on my Sierra?
Stick with the Sierra listings. AlphaRex catalogs different part numbers for the GMC and Chevrolet trucks, and this page carries the ones filed for the Sierra. Confirm against your truck with the fitment checker on the product page.
What is the difference between the Pro-Series and Nova-Series here?
Both are AlphaRex projector headlights. The Nova-Series units are listed as LED projector headlights and come in chrome, matte black and gloss black, while the Pro-Series 880605 comes in jet black. Each product page has the full lighting details.
Are the fog lights included?
No. On the 2007.5-2010 Sierra HD, fog lamps are separate halogen units: standard on the SLT, available on the SLE and added to the WT by package. The products here are headlights only.
