Call or Text (352) 722-5295Exhaust accessories on the 2018-2021 Ford F-150 3.0L Power Stroke
The 3.0L Power Stroke exhaust runs cooled EGR, a DPF and an SCR catalyst, with diesel exhaust fluid dosed from a 5.6-gallon tank. That DEF has to meet Ford spec WSS-M99C130-A. None of that hardware is what this page is about. Accessories are the parts you add or replace around it: the tip at the end of the pipe, the exhaust gas temperature sensors, the clamps that hold sections together and the wrap that manages heat near other components.
Tips and sizing
The factory truck has a single tailpipe. A complete DPF-back system for 2018-2020 trucks can change that; one 4-inch stainless kit uses dual 5-inch welded, angle-cut, rolled-edge single-wall tips that exit behind the passenger rear tire. If you're keeping the single outlet, a new tip is the simplest visual change you can make. Measure the outside diameter of your tailpipe first. The MBRP tips here are 4-inch inlet with outlets from 4 to 8 inches, PPE offers 3-inch and 4-inch stainless tips, and Mishimoto has a 6-inch polished angle-cut rolled-edge tip.
Sensors, clamps and safety hardware
XDP's XD1061 and XD1033 EGT sensors are both titled for the 2018-2020 3.0L, and they are not the same part, so match the replacement to the sensor you're pulling. BD Diesel supplies the 1405926 exhaust V-band clamp and the 1036756 E-PAS emergency engine shutdown, titled for 2018-2021 3.0L trucks. An emergency shutdown is a safety device for stopping the engine in an emergency; it is not part of the emissions system and doesn't change it. Mishimoto's MMTW-235 exhaust heat wrap set rounds out the hardware.
What we carry
Most of this collection is MBRP tips: rolled straight-cut (T5050), single-wall angle-cut (T5052), rolled angle-cut with 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-inch outlets (including T5073), single-wall turndowns (T5081 and T5086), straight-cut (T5049), black hex (T5165BLK), dual-wall angled and angled rolled-edge single-wall styles. PPE adds 3-inch and 4-inch stainless tips, Mishimoto adds a polished tip and heat wrap, XDP covers EGT sensors, and BD Diesel covers the clamp and the shutdown. Mufflers and pipe live in the wider exhaust section.
Fitment notes
The diesel was F-150 only, 2018-2021, and never offered in a Regular Cab. 2021 trucks have the 14th-generation body, frame and bed, so check tip and sensor fitment separately for that year; the XDP sensors are titled for 2018-2020 only. On a 2021, also know that NHTSA recall 23V509 covers 2021-2023 F-150s with a single exhaust system because the exhaust could contact the rear axle wiring harness. Keep that clearance in mind when you change a tip or rehang a pipe. Verify by VIN when in doubt.
Frequently asked questions
What size exhaust tip fits a 3.0L Power Stroke F-150?
Measure the outside diameter of your tailpipe and match it to the tip's inlet. The MBRP tips here use a 4-inch inlet. PPE offers 3-inch and 4-inch stainless tips, so check the listing for the inlet size. If your measurement falls between sizes, call us before ordering.
Are the XDP XD1061 and XD1033 sensors interchangeable?
Don't assume they are. They're separate part numbers, both titled for the 2018-2020 3.0L. Match the one you're replacing, or call us with your VIN and we'll sort it out.
What DEF does the F-150 diesel use?
Fluid that meets Ford spec WSS-M99C130-A, in a 5.6-gallon tank. The SCR system is integral to the truck running normally, so keep it topped.
What is the BD Diesel E-PAS?
It's BD Diesel's emergency engine shutdown, part 1036756, titled for 2018-2021 3.0L Power Stroke trucks. It's a safety device, not a performance or emissions part.
