2017-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Gooseneck Hitches

Gooseneck hitch hardware for the 2017-2019 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. The B&W Turnoverball here is made for trucks that did not come with Ford's 5th-Wheel/Gooseneck Prep Package. Check your bed floor first: if it has the five factory pucks, your truck takes a puck-system gooseneck instead.

Gooseneck Hitch on the 2017-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Gooseneck is where these trucks post their biggest numbers. For 2019, Ford's SAE J2807 gooseneck ratings for properly equipped diesel trucks were 18,500 lb on the F-250 with the High-Capacity Trailer Tow Package, 21,500 lb on the F-350 SRW Regular Cab 4x2, 32,000 lb on the F-350 dually with the 4.10 axle, and 35,000 lb on the F-450 Regular Cab 4x2, with 34,700 lb on the 4x4. The F-450 Crew Cab has no gooseneck rating listed, only 21,000 lb conventional. Ford's own gooseneck kit was a dealer or factory option that requires the prep package. On the F-450 it includes 2-5/16-inch and 3-inch balls and two safety-chain tie-down bars.

Prep package or rail kit

This is the decision that matters. Trucks with the prep package have an under-bed crossmember and five attachment points in the bed floor, and they take puck-system hitches. Trucks without it need an under-bed rail kit. The B&W GNRK1116 Turnoverball is that kit for 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 trucks with 6.75-foot or 8-foot beds and F-450 trucks with the 8-foot bed. It is rated at 30,000 lb gross trailer weight and 7,500 lb vertical load, uses a 2-5/16-inch ball, needs no welding and goes in through a 4-inch hole in the bed.

What we carry

From B&W Trailer Hitches we carry the GNRK1116 Turnoverball gooseneck hitch. From Wicked MFG we carry the BWFIX1 shock relocation kit, made for B&W hitch installs on 2017-2022 Powerstroke trucks. See more towing hardware on our hitches page and in the Powerstroke catalog.

Fitment notes

The hitch rating is not the truck rating. The GNRK1116 is rated at 30,000 lb, but an F-350 SRW is rated for 21,500 lb at best, and your limit is the lowest of the hitch rating, the truck's gooseneck rating, its GCWR and its rear axle rating. Confirm cab, bed length and drivetrain by VIN before you order, and check for factory pucks so you do not buy the wrong style of hitch.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the B&W GNRK1116 if my truck has the factory pucks?

It is designed for trucks without the factory prep package. If your bed already has the five pucks, use a puck-system gooseneck instead. Call us and we will help you pick the right one.

Does the GNRK1116 need welding?

No welding. It goes in through a 4-inch hole in the bed and uses a 2-5/16-inch ball. We install what we sell, so we can put it in for you at the shop in Wildwood, FL.

How much can my 2017-2019 Super Duty pull with a gooseneck?

It depends on the model, cab and axle. For 2019, Ford's top gooseneck ratings ran from 18,500 lb on a properly equipped F-250 to 35,000 lb on an F-450 Regular Cab 4x2, and the F-450 Crew Cab has no gooseneck rating listed. Check the ratings for your exact configuration.

What is the Wicked MFG BWFIX1 for?

The BWFIX1 is a shock relocation kit built for trucks running a B&W hitch, listed for 2017-2022 Powerstroke trucks. If you are putting in a B&W under-bed hitch, ask us whether your install calls for it.
