Call or Text (352) 722-5295Air springs and compressors on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 2015-2016 Super Duty was rated for serious weight: payload up to 4,240 lb on a 2015 F-250 and 7,260 lb on a 2015 F-350, properly equipped. Rear air springs work alongside the factory springs, and you add air to bring the truck back to level when a trailer tongue, 5th-wheel pin or camper squats the rear. Air Lift's documented rear kits for 2011-2016 F-250, F-350 and F-450 are the LoadLifter 5000 (88396) and LoadLifter 7500 XL (57596). The parts on this page build on a kit like those: a way to fill and adjust the bags from the cab, an air tank, load controllers, spacers and an upgrade for an existing LoadLifter 5000. With 860 lb-ft from the 6.7L Powerstroke in these years, the truck has the torque; air springs help it carry the load level.
When air springs make sense
Air springs earn their place on trucks that haul a slide-in camper, carry 5th-wheel pin weight or pull a bumper trailer with heavy tongue weight. You run more pressure loaded and less empty. What they do not do is change Ford's ratings. Loading past the GVWR, GCWR or receiver rating is the documented limit on these trucks, and the rear axle ratings at the ground are 6,200 lb on the F-250, 7,280 lb on the F-350 SRW and 9,650 lb on the F-350 DRW and F-450.
What we carry
Everything here comes from Air Lift:
- Compressor systems: WirelessONE (25980 and 25980EZ) and WirelessAIR (74000EZ), for setting bag pressure from the driver's seat.
- Tanks: the WirelessONE tank upgrade kit (25981 and 25981EZ) and the WirelessAIR tank (74100EZ).
- Controls: Single Load Controller II (25592), Heavy Duty Dual Load Controller (25856) and the app-only WirelessAIR control system (73000EZ).
- Service and setup: a replacement on-board compressor (16192), 2-inch and 4-inch air spring spacers (52420 and 52440) and the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus stainless steel upgrade (52300).
Fitment notes
Air Lift lists the LoadLifter 5000 and 7500 XL kits for 2011-2016 F-250, F-350 and F-450. SRW and DRW trucks differ at the rear axle, and that changes which air-spring parts fit, so match the kit, spacers and any upgrade to your exact truck. The WirelessONE compressor and tank come in standard and EZ Mount versions; check which mounting suits your truck on the product page. Verify by VIN before you order.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a compressor, or can I fill the bags by hand?
A compressor system is optional. It lets you change pressure from the cab instead of at a fill valve, which matters if you hook and unhook often or move between loaded and empty several times a week. Air Lift's WirelessONE and WirelessAIR systems on this page do that job.
What's the difference between the single and dual load controller?
The Single Load Controller II runs both bags from one setting. The Heavy Duty Dual Load Controller sets the left and right bags separately, which helps when a camper or bed load sits heavier on one side. Either one needs a rear air-spring kit already on the truck.
Will air bags let me tow or haul more?
No. They keep the truck level and riding flat, but Ford's ratings stay the same. A 2015 F-250 is still rated for 16,800 lb of towing and 4,240 lb of payload at best, and a 2015 F-350 for 26,700 lb and 7,260 lb, with or without bags.
Which Air Lift kit fits a 2015-2016 Super Duty?
Air Lift documents the LoadLifter 5000 (88396) and LoadLifter 7500 XL (57596) for 2011-2016 F-250, F-350 and F-450 pickups. The compressors, tanks, controllers and spacers here add to a kit like those. Confirm fitment by VIN before ordering, or call us.
