Call or Text (352) 722-5295Up-pipes on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L Powerstroke uses reverse-flow aluminum heads with the exhaust ports on the inboard side, so the cast-iron exhaust manifolds and the turbo all sit in the valley. Because of that layout there are no long up-pipes like on the 6.0L and 6.4L. What the aftermarket sells as up-pipes for the 6.7L are short pieces between the manifolds and the turbo, and MAHLE lists a dedicated exhaust manifold to up-pipe gasket for that joint. For 2015 the turbo itself changed, from the 2011-2014 DualBoost unit to a larger, non-wastegated Garrett GT3788V variable-geometry turbo.
Why the year split matters
That turbo change is why up-pipe part numbers split at 2015. PPE lists its 316119515 high-flow up-pipes for 2015-2019 pickups and 2017-2019 chassis cabs, and its 316119511 set for 2011-2014 pickups and 2011-2016 chassis cabs. The chassis-cab split follows the turbo: 2011-2016 chassis cabs ran a Garrett AVNT3276V instead of the pickup turbo, and pickup exhaust parts do not carry over to them. SPE Motorsport's S100250 driver-side up-pipe is listed for 2015-2019. The upshot is simple: an F-350 pickup and an F-350 chassis cab from the same year can need different up-pipes.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
PPE's high-flow up-pipes are the upgrade route here. If you only need the driver side, SPE's S100250 is a single pipe listed for 2015-2019. Whichever you choose, the manifold-to-up-pipe joint takes the MAHLE F32585 gasket, listed for 2011-2026 6.7L engines. If you are in the valley for this job, the manifold gaskets and hardware on our manifold page are worth checking at the same time.

Fitment notes
For a 2015 or 2016 F-250, F-350 or F-450 pickup, the PPE part is 316119515. For a 2015 or 2016 F-350, F-450 or F-550 chassis cab, PPE lists 316119511 instead, because those trucks kept a different turbo. Do not go by the model name alone, since an F-350 can be either a pickup or a chassis cab. SPE's driver-side pipe is listed by year only, so confirm it against your body style before ordering. Verify by VIN or call the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Does the 6.7L have up-pipes like the 6.0L and 6.4L?
Not in the same way. The reverse-flow heads put the manifolds right at the valley-mounted turbo, so there are no long up-pipes. The parts sold as up-pipes for the 6.7L are short manifold-to-turbo connectors, so make sure anything you order is listed specifically for the 6.7L.
Which PPE up-pipes fit my 2016 F-250?
For a 2016 F-250 pickup, PPE lists 316119515, which covers 2015-2019 pickups. The 316119511 set is for 2011-2014 pickups and 2011-2016 chassis cabs, so it is the wrong part for a 2015-2016 pickup.
Do I need a new gasket when I replace an up-pipe?
The joint between the manifold and the up-pipe uses its own gasket, MAHLE F32585, listed for 2011-2026 6.7L engines. Order it with the pipes so the joint goes back together with a fresh seal.
