Call or Text (352) 722-5295Exhaust manifolds on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L Powerstroke flips the usual layout. Its reverse-flow aluminum heads put the intake ports on the outside and the exhaust ports on the inside, so the cast-iron exhaust manifolds sit in the valley and bolt directly to the turbo. Cylinders 1-4 are on the passenger bank and 5-8 on the driver bank. For 2015-2016 that turbo is a non-wastegated Garrett GT3788V variable-geometry unit, which replaced the 2011-2014 DualBoost turbo. Ford kept cast-iron manifolds on this engine from 2011 through 2022; stainless manifolds did not arrive until the 2023 High-Output engine.
What fails and why
The straight answer: the 2015-2016 6.7L does not have a widely documented manifold cracking pattern. That makes manifold work on these trucks a diagnosis-first job. Confirm a leak, a damaged flange or broken hardware before you buy a manifold. When one does come off, plan on a fresh gasket set and the correct-length hardware. Also keep in mind that not every exhaust warning is an exhaust leak: a failed boost tube can make the engine run rich and plug the DPF with soot in 5 to 10 miles.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
Gaskets and hardware are straight replacement parts: MAHLE's MS19916 gasket set is listed for 2015-2019, and Dorman's hardware kits come in 70 mm and 85.2 mm lengths. Replacement manifolds come from BD Diesel, sold as a left side, a right side and as pairs, and from SPE Motorsport, which offers the S100189 driver-side manifold, a full manifold set and S100313 CNC-machined flanges with an EGT port. The SPE Emperor T4 manifold kit, BD Diesel's T3-T4 adapter flange and the ATS 45 mm wastegate adapter are for owners running a different turbo setup. The factory GT3788V has no wastegate, so those are not stock replacement parts.

Fitment notes
The year ranges are not uniform, so read each title. BD Diesel lists its left-side manifold (1043006) for 2011-2019 but its right-side manifold (1043009) for 2015-2019, and its 1043008 pair for 2015-2019 while the 1043007 pair is listed for 2011-2014 and 2016. MAHLE's MS19916 gasket set is listed for 2015-2019, and Dorman's hardware kits for 2011-2022. Left is the driver bank and right is the passenger bank. Chassis cabs use a different turbo from the pickups, so confirm which you have. If you own a 2016 and see two possible part numbers, verify by VIN or call the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Do 2015-2016 6.7L exhaust manifolds crack?
There is no widely documented cracking pattern for the cast-iron manifolds on 2015-2016 trucks. If you suspect a leak, confirm it before buying a manifold, and check the flange, gasket and hardware first. The MAHLE gasket set and Dorman hardware kits here cover that repair.
Will a 2011-2014 manifold fit my 2015 truck?
It depends on the side and the brand. BD Diesel lists the same left-side manifold for 2011-2019 but a 2015-2019 part for the right side, and MAHLE's gasket set is listed for 2015-2019. Buy the part listed for your model year rather than assuming a carryover.
Which Dorman hardware kit do I need?
Dorman sells two manifold hardware kits for 2011-2022 6.7L engines: 675-223 at 70 mm and 675-224 at 85.2 mm. The difference is fastener length, so measure the bolt you are replacing or check the product page for its location before you order.
