2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Gooseneck Hitches

Gooseneck hitch hardware for the 2011-2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke. What matters most here is whether your bed has Ford's factory 53W prep, the four pucks and center hole that became an option in 2011. That one detail decides which gooseneck setup belongs on your truck, so check before you order.

Gooseneck hitches on the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Ford's 53W option, new for 2011 and offered on the F-250 and F-350, preps the bed for a gooseneck or 5th wheel. You get four pucks in a rectangle about 30 in wide by 13 in deep, center to center, around a center gooseneck hole. The structure underneath is Ford's 5th-wheel/gooseneck prep package, part BC3Z-5F057-A for 2011-2016, an under-carriage crossmember package that Ford's own gooseneck hitch kit requires. On a prepped truck, a gooseneck ball kit drops into that center hole. Trucks without the prep need an aftermarket rail kit or a complete hitch system. Per Ford's 2014 guide, in-bed towing ratings on these diesels run from about 16,400 lb on an SRW 4x4 to 24,700 lb on the F-450 pickup.

Choosing a gooseneck setup

Answer three questions before you buy. Does the truck have the factory pucks and center hole? Do you want the bed floor flat when you are not towing? Does your trailer clear the tailgate? Ford lists tailgate clearance at 56-57 in on the F-250, 59-60 in on the F-350 SRW, and 56-57 in on the F-350 DRW and F-450. Bed length and SRW/DRW can also change which hitch part number fits. On dually trucks the integrated trailer brake controller is standard and shows gain and trailer status in the cluster.

What we carry

This collection holds the B&W Trailer Hitches GNRK1111 Turnoverball gooseneck hitch. The Turnoverball design lets you pull the ball, flip it over and store it in the hitch, so the bed floor stays flat when you are hauling cargo instead of a trailer. Because the right mounting depends on your truck's prep, check the GNRK1111 listing in the fitment checker against your truck, or call the shop before you order. Ball mounts, 5th wheels and weight distribution are on the hitches page, and the rest of the truck is at the Powerstroke hub.

Fitment notes

The 2011-2016 prep package part number is specific to this body, and 2017-up pucks differ, so do not assume prep hardware from a newer truck will interchange. Wiring is a separate item: the in-bed 7-pin connector comes with the prep package wiring, which is sold separately from the BC3Z-5F057-A crossmember package. Verify by VIN with the fitment checker.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run a gooseneck on a truck without the factory 53W prep?

Yes, with the right hardware. Trucks without the factory pucks and center hole use an aftermarket rail kit or a complete hitch system. Ford's own gooseneck kit needs the BC3Z-5F057-A prep package underneath.

What is a Turnoverball hitch?

It is B&W's gooseneck design where the ball comes out, turns over and stores in the hitch, leaving the bed flat. The GNRK1111 in this collection uses that design.

How much tailgate clearance do I need for a gooseneck trailer?

Ford lists 56-57 in on the F-250, 59-60 in on the F-350 SRW, and 56-57 in on the F-350 DRW and F-450. Compare that to the height of your trailer's neck with the trailer sitting level before the first trip.

Does the in-bed 7-pin plug come with the prep package?

Not with the crossmember package itself. The in-bed 7-pin connector comes with Ford's prep package wiring, which is sold separately from BC3Z-5F057-A.
