Call or Text (352) 722-5295Exhaust accessories for the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
This is where the small hardware lives: the parts that seal, sense and finish the exhaust on a 6.7L Powerstroke. The engine's reverse-flow heads put the manifolds, up-pipes and turbo in the valley, so every joint between them takes heat cycle after heat cycle. Out back, the aftertreatment (DOC, DPF and SCR with DEF) depends on NOx and EGT sensors to run correctly, and Ford added a second NOx sensor and module for 2013. The 2011-2014 trucks also have an integrated exhaust brake that works automatically in Tow/Haul, using the variable-geometry turbo to raise back pressure.
What fails and why
Sensors top the list. NOx sensor failures were extremely common on 2011 engines, and Ford covered them under Customer Satisfaction Program 12B33, which expired April 30, 2013. EGT sensor failures hit 2011-2012 F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks with the Ambulance Package under recall 13S10, with sporadic reports on pickups. Either failure can bring a check engine light, reduced power, a 50 mph limp mode or a stop-safely-now warning. Sensor faults and exhaust leaks also show up as frequent DPF regens and derates. On the hardware side, studs, nuts, gaskets, spacers and heat shields are the stock-replacement parts tied to Ford's SSM 50330 manifold stud repair.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
Sensors are a stock-replacement job. OEM-spec parts and updated software are what restore power, and the harness and connector should be inspected before you buy a sensor, because the wiring can be the real fault. Gaskets and clamps are the same story: match the part to the joint you are sealing. Tips, tip covers and heat wrap are where you get to choose. They go on the end of the tailpipe or around the pipe, so pick the finish and size that suit your truck.
What we carry
Alliant Power supplies a NOx sensor module plus exhaust back-pressure (EBP) and EBP/DPF pressure sensors, and XDP adds an EGT sensor listed for 2011-2016. Mahle covers the EGR side with cooler core, end tank, valve and tube gaskets and an EGR installation kit, plus the intermediate pipe to tailpipe gasket. Dorman has an EGR cooler gasket kit. SPE Motorsport offers exhaust manifold flanges and a 1/8 NPT EGT sensor adapter. BD Diesel lists its Variable Vane Exhaust Brake and Positive Air Shutdown for 2011-2014 trucks, along with a remote-mount exhaust brake and a V-band clamp. At the tailpipe, MBRP has rolled, angle-cut, straight-cut, turndown and black hex tips with 4 in inlets and outlets from 4 in to 8 in, plus a 5 in tip cover set for the factory exhaust. Pacific Performance Engineering has 3 in and 4 in stainless tips, and Mishimoto has a 6 in polished tip and an exhaust heat wrap set. The full range is in exhaust.
Fitment notes
Sensor fitment follows the year splits. The second NOx sensor and module arrived for 2013, so a 2011-2012 truck and a 2013-2014 truck may not use the same sensor setup; match the location and part number on the listing. Some listings here run through 2016, 2019 or later and some stop at 2014, so read the year range on each one. Chassis cabs run a different turbo and calibration from pickups through 2016. For tips, measure the tailpipe before you order. When in doubt, verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Should I replace a NOx sensor as soon as the code sets?
Check the wiring first. Inspect the sensor harness and connector, then replace the sensor with an OEM-spec part and make sure the truck's software is updated. That combination is what restores power on these trucks.
Does a 2011-2014 6.7L have an exhaust brake from the factory?
Yes, an integrated one. It works automatically in Tow/Haul by using the variable-geometry turbo to raise back pressure. Ford added a manually activated, more effective exhaust brake for 2015. BD's Variable Vane Exhaust Brake on this page is listed for 2011-2014 trucks.
Will a tip cover fit my stock tailpipe?
MBRP's T5111 5 in tip cover set is listed for 2008-2025 Power Stroke trucks running the stock exhaust, so it is the one to look at if you have not changed the tailpipe. Most of the other tips here use a 4 in inlet. Measure your pipe before ordering.
