Call or Text (352) 722-5295Interior on the 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke
When Ford launched the 2008 Super Duty with the 6.4L Powerstroke, the cab got a full redesign: new instrument cluster, steering wheel, dash, door panels and seat trim. Sirius radio and an auxiliary input arrived, navigation became available, and diesel trucks with the automatic got a Rapid-Heat supplemental cab heater. Ford SYNC followed for 2009. That redesign is why interior parts split into 2005-2007, 2008-2010 and 2011-and-later groups, and why a part that fits a 2009 Lariat may not fit a 2007.
Trim levels and why they matter
The 2008-2010 trucks came in XL, XLT, FX4 (2008-2009), Lariat, King Ranch, Cabela's (2009-2010, FX4 Crew Cab) and Harley-Davidson trims, plus a 2008 60th Anniversary Edition on the XLT. Cab styles were Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab. Verify trim level and year for seat, console and bezel parts before you shop. The equipment in your truck matters too: electrical parts for a feature like heated seats only apply if your truck has that feature.
Known problem areas
We don't have a documented interior failure pattern to point you to on these trucks. Interior work here is mostly repair and replacement of trim, seating and electrical parts as they wear or get damaged. That makes matching the part to the truck the main job, not chasing a known weak spot.
Repair vs. replace
A pigtail is a short length of wire with a new connector on the end. It lets you replace a damaged plug by splicing in the new connector instead of replacing a whole harness section. Before you cut anything, confirm the connector on your truck matches the one on the product, and confirm the problem is the connector and not the module or switch it feeds.
What we carry
This collection carries the Fleece Performance Engineering FPE-HAR-HSM-PT heated seat module connector pigtail. Fleece lists it for 2003-2019 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstroke trucks, which makes it an electrical part that crosses both the 2008 and 2011 interior redesign lines.
Fitment notes
Interior parts for these trucks split by year because of the 2008 redesign and again for 2011, so a 2005-2007 or 2011-and-later part may not fit. Verify trim level as well as year for seat, console and bezel parts. The Fleece pigtail is the exception with its wider 2003-2019 listing, but it only applies if your truck has the heated seat module it connects to. Verify by VIN or use the fitment checker on the product page.
Frequently asked questions
Do 2005-2007 Super Duty interior parts fit my 2008-2010 6.4L truck?
Not reliably. Ford redesigned the 2008 interior, including the cluster, steering wheel, dash and door panels, so interior parts split 2005-2007 versus 2008-2010. Check the year range on each listing before you order.
Will 2011-and-later interior parts fit a 2008-2010 truck?
Not reliably either. 2011 brought the all-new third-generation Super Duty, and interior parts split again at that point. Some electrical parts, like the Fleece heated seat module pigtail, are listed across 2003-2019, so go by each part's listed range.
When did Ford SYNC show up on these trucks?
SYNC arrived for the 2009 model year. The 2008 trucks got Sirius radio, an auxiliary input and available navigation with the redesign, so a 2008 and a 2009 can differ in the dash. Know your year before ordering electronics or console parts.
Why does trim level matter for interior parts?
Ford built these trucks in XL, XLT, FX4, Lariat, King Ranch, Cabela's and Harley-Davidson trims, and seat, console and bezel parts need to be verified against trim level as well as year. If you are not sure which trim you have, call the shop with your VIN and we will help sort it out.
