2007.5-2010 Chevy Duramax LMM Fog Lights

Fog lighting for the 2007.5-2010 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD with the 6.6L LMM Duramax. On these trucks factory fog lamps came with the option package, not with the truck, so the first job is finding out whether your Silverado was built with them. What is listed on this page is the electronics side of fog lighting rather than a bumper lamp.

Fog lights on the 2007.5-2010 Silverado 2500HD-3500HD

GM's heavy-duty Silverado used separate halogen fog lamps mounted low in the front bumper, and whether yours has them depends on how it was ordered. Chevrolet added fog lamps through the Exterior Plus and LTZ packages, so a Work Truck or an early LT can have blank bumper openings and nothing behind them. That one fact drives most of the fog-lamp calls we take on a 2007.5-2010 truck: it is a build-sheet question before it is a parts question.

What to sort out first

Look at the bumper, then look at the VIN. If the lamps are there and one is dark, you are replacing a lamp. If the openings are empty, you are adding hardware and wiring the factory never installed, and most of that job is wiring rather than parts. A Silverado built with Snow Plow Prep already has forward lamp wiring and roof lamp provisions run, which can make an addition simpler. We do not have a documented factory failure pattern for these fog lamps, so we are not going to pretend there is one. Replace a lamp when the lens is broken or the lamp is dead.

Stock replacement vs. upgrade

A stock-style halogen fog lamp drops into the factory bumper opening and behaves the way the truck did new. That is the simple path, and on a work truck it is usually the right one. The other direction is to change how the lamps you already have behave on the road, which is the kind of part listed here. Either way, read the listing against your own truck first, because trim and packages decide what is actually in your bumper and harness.

What we carry

This page lists the All Lights On module from Fleece Performance Engineering. It is sold by engine and model year, covering 2007.5-2025 6.6L Duramax trucks, rather than by cab, bed or trim, and its product page is where to read exactly what it controls and how it connects. If you need a replacement fog lamp housing or bulb for a GMT900 Silverado HD, call the shop and we will help you work out which part your build takes.

Fitment notes

Verify the body style first. The 2007 Classic Silverado HD is the older GMT800 body and uses GMT800 lamps; only the 2007 new-body truck shares lighting with 2008-2010. Inside the GMT900 HD years we cannot source clean lamp interchange, so verify by year and body style and use the fitment checker on the product page. Cab and box configuration do not change what is in the front bumper, but trim and option packages do, which is why the VIN is the honest answer here.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether my Silverado has factory fog lamps?

Look at the lower corners of the front bumper for lamp openings, then confirm with the VIN or window sticker. Fog lamps on these trucks arrived through packages such as Exterior Plus and LTZ, so two identical-looking Silverados can differ. We will read the build out for you over the phone if you are not sure.

Can I add fog lamps to a Work Truck?

It is possible, but understand what you are taking on. A truck that was never ordered with fog lamps needs the lamps, the bumper provisions and the wiring, and what is missing depends on the build. A plow-prep Silverado is a head start, since forward lamp wiring is already run. Call with the VIN before you buy parts.

Does this page cover a 2007 Silverado Classic?

No. The 2007 Classic is the GMT800 body and uses that generation of lamps, while these pages cover the 2007.5 and newer GMT900 heavy-duty truck. If your title says 2007, identify the body before you order anything lighting related.
