Call or Text (352) 722-5295Interior on the 2007.5-2010 Silverado HD with the LMM
In mid-2007 Chevrolet moved the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD to the GMT900 body and put the LMM 6.6L Duramax under the hood. The cab got an all-new interior along with the new sheetmetal and frame. GM built it at two levels. Work Truck and LT trucks got the plain pickup layout, with dual glove boxes and a 40/20/40 bench. LT trucks also have a 15.2-liter storage bin in the armrest. The LTZ moved up to bucket seats, a center console and leather.
For a diesel owner, the most useful thing on the dash is the Driver Information Center. It can show transmission temperature and gives an oil-change notification. Every LMM pickup used the Allison 1000 six-speed, and on a truck that tows, being able to read trans temp from the driver's seat matters.
What fails and why
Our research on these trucks doesn't turn up an interior failure pattern tied to the Duramax, and we won't invent one to sell you a part. The pieces in this collection are service and replacement parts, not fixes for a known weak spot. If something in your cab has quit, call the shop with your VIN and a description, and we'll help you sort out the right part.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
Interior parts don't have a performance side. What you want is a replacement that fits like the original. The other thing to know is which layout your truck has, because a WT or LT cab and an LTZ cab are built differently: bench and dual glove boxes on one side, buckets, console and leather on the other. Know which one you have before you shop for anything that mounts to a seat, console or glove box.
What we carry
This collection currently holds the Dorman 259-100 Cabin Air Filter Cover Plate. Dorman lists it for 2007.5-2014 6.6L Duramax trucks, so it covers every LMM year on this page. It is the cover plate for the cabin air filter, sold on its own, and it is listed by engine and year rather than by trim.
Fitment notes
Run three checks before you order. First, confirm you have the 2007.5 new-body truck. The 2007 Classic Silverado HD is the old GMT800 body with the LBZ engine, not an LMM truck. Second, know your cab. Regular cabs lack rear seat and rear door hardware, and some options, including the rearview camera and sunroof, weren't offered on them. Third, the trucks were heavily revised for 2011, when the LML replaced the LMM, so don't assume a part crosses the 2010/2011 line unless the listing says it does. This Dorman plate's listing does run through 2014. Verify by VIN, or use the fitment checker on the product page.
Frequently asked questions
Does this fit a 2007 Silverado Classic?
No. The 2007 Classic is the older GMT800 body that was sold alongside the new truck, and it came with the LBZ, not the LMM. The parts on this page are for the 2007.5-2010 GMT900 Silverado HD. If you're not sure which one you have, call us with the VIN.
Will the Dorman 259-100 plate fit a 2011-2014 Silverado HD?
Dorman lists the 259-100 for 2007.5-2014 6.6L Duramax trucks, so the listing reaches into the LML years. This page is built for the LMM trucks, though, so confirm your exact year and engine with the fitment checker on the product page before you order.
Can I see transmission temperature on the dash?
Yes. The Driver Information Center on these trucks can display transmission temperature, along with an oil-change notification. Keep an eye on it when you tow. On LMM trucks past 100,000 miles that tow heavy, Allison overtemp and gear hunting are a reported pattern.
What trims did the 2007.5-2010 Silverado HD come in?
Chevrolet sold it as the Work Truck, the LT (with LT1 and LT2 packages) and the LTZ. WT and LT trucks have the bench layout with dual glove boxes. The LTZ has bucket seats, a center console and leather.
Do regular cab and crew cab trucks share interior parts?
Not always. Regular cabs have no rear seat or rear door hardware, and they didn't get some options like the rearview camera or sunroof, so cab-specific parts have to match your cab. The Dorman cover plate here is listed by engine and year rather than by cab, but run it through the fitment checker anyway.
