A lift pump feeds clean, air-free diesel to your injection pump at steady pressure. Common-rail trucks run a CP3 or CP4 that was never meant to pull fuel from the tank, so a lift pump is the first upgrade we recommend on a Cummins, Duramax or Powerstroke that tows, runs bigger injectors, or has a high-pressure pump to protect.
