This 245HP (High Output) pump is a stock horsepower replacement for 2000-2002 6-speed trucks with the 245HP engine.
A VP44 fuel pump can fail for many reasons. Using a low-quality or contaminated fuel can begin to cause corrosion and wear on the pump’s internals. If water, dirt, or debris enters the pump it can ultimately lead to pump failure. Exposure to any of these contaminants can gradually diminish the life span of the pump.
